opens Side Two, which includes The Cure's 'Friday I'm In Love', Electronic's 'Disappointed', Marc Almond, Boy George - and the beautiful and sophisticated ballad 'The One', from Elton John. Now’s first yearbook venture into the 1990’s and it’s an interesting if not the most exciting year to launch with.

The 4CD formats contain 79 tracks and the special edition CD is housed in ‘hard-back-book’ packaging, including a 28-page booklet featuring a summary of the year, a track-by-track guide, a quiz, and original singles artwork. is the year that Simply Red’s Stars outsold every other album in the UK for the second year running and the touching ‘For Your Babies’ is included from that long-player along with the live version of ‘Lady Godiva’s Room’ (an excellent B-side from 1987), one of four tracks included on ‘The Montreux EP’.Floor-fillers from CeCe Peniston, Dina Carroll, Shanice and En Vogue follow, before 'My Destiny' from Lionel Richie completes the disc.
