The Phantom 2 Evolution Continues – Easy to Use, Convenient Golf GPS with BITE, now enhanced with game-changing Slope Technology.

Once your device is updated, make sure your device is fully charged. A couple of tips about charging or if your Phantom stops responding. A: The LRF can be used to measure distance in yards or meters. The unit measure indicators are located in the lower right portion of the LCD. To select between yards and meters on your... Bushnell states that the Phantom 2 can last over 18 hours on a single charge. For players that hate having to charge their device between rounds, this is a big plus. If you want distances to hazards, the Phantom gives you up to four per hole with the press of a button. You can also measure shot distances with a tap. The Bushnell Golf app provides additional product benefits, information and data to further help improve your game, as well as access to easily be able to update your GPS device (for 2021 GPS products and beyond). The hazard display on the Phantom 2 is good. It lists 100, 150, and 200 yard lay up distances with bunkers and water inserted where appropriate. It can also provide yardages to the hazard and to clear it. The biggest positive is that it lists all hazards on one screen. However, I prefer the Garmin G12 and Shot Scope H4 for the way they clearly show which hazard is being described. Slope Technology can also be simply disabled which makes the Phantom 2 Slope legal for tournament play. A stronger BITE Magnet is one of the upgrades that Bushnell touts with the Phantom 2. Other improvements are a larger display, more mapped hazards, and greenview with multiple pin locations. Our Bushnell Phantom Golf GPS review took place at Huddersfield Golf Club. Bushnell Phantom Golf GPS review: First Impressions

The Bushnell Phantom is as easy to use as any GPS we’ve tested. Once you turn it on, a menu of the courses near you will come up. Select the right one and play golf. Over 36,000 courses are pre-loaded, so you don’t need to do anything to get it up and running. When you buy the Phantom, you get access to Bushnell’s golf app. It’s one of my favorites. I really like the arcs at 100, 150, 200, and 250 yards, and you can tap the map to get the exact distance to any given point on the hole. Perhaps the best feature is the flyover view of the hole. This is particularly valuable when you’re playing a hole for the first time. Finally, the app allows for score keeping and shows you all the data you could otherwise find by scrolling through menus on your watch. performance of your game. With detailed graphics including a hole fly over feature which is great when playing a new course or a hole layout which can’t be fully viewed from the tee.I found the Phantom GPS so easy to use. It’s really simple button design means it is easy to navigate around and use the different features. To disconnect the TWS connection, press both Plus and Minus buttons on one of the speakers simultaneously until the LED Indicator ring rapidly blinks orange to indicate the TWS connection has been disconnected. The new bite technology features an extra strong magnet and clip, meaning the Phantom can be clipped on to your belt, golf bag or trolley for easy viewing.

The Bushnell Phantom 2 Golf GPS is a budget GPS with good accuracy. Very basic display and features. Slightly larger than its predecessor, Phantom 2 has a 40% bigger text on a large easy read screen ideal for getting distances whilst playing in bright sunlight and a host of other features that include green view with moveable pin placement, Dynamic Green mapping, Touch screen, 38,000 pre-loaded courses plus many more. I tested the Bushnell Phantom 2 side-by-side against two similarly priced GPS units and found it comparable in speed and accuracy. There was never more than a two yard discrepancy between the Phantom 2 and posted yardages, and those were rare. Using the Phantom 2 is fairly simple. There are four buttons: three on the left, one on the right. The left buttons scroll up, down, and select while the right button brings up menus. The buttons are not labeled in any way, but I found them reasonably intuitive. If the course information on the virtual tour is incorrect, you can submit your request to update the course from the Bushnell Golf App as follows:The other new feature is green view. You can move the pin among several pre-selected locations to get a better idea of the yardage to the flag. This is a strong feature, but be careful using it if you don’t have a pin sheet or decent course knowledge. If you aren’t sure where the flag is, make the safe play to the center yardage. When the device is completely discharged, it sometimes will not show as charging when plugged in. When you plug it in, press the power on button for up to 15 seconds. The device should switch to USB mode and start charging. Personally I probably wouldn’t clip this on my belt as I still feel the device can easily detach from the clip if you catch it against something. However, it worked great when clipping to the side of my golf bag and really sped up my play when I didn’t have to delve into my bag to find out a yardage. While the app itself is pleasant to use, it doesn't offer enough extra information to make it worth having your phone out all round alongside the Phantom 2. All the main information you need is already on the device itself - dynamic yardages, pin placement and score etc. - so what's the need for the app? Building on the success of the Phantom 2 GPS device launched last year, Bushnell has now added a Slope feature to this upgraded device which offers more precise compensated distances to account for a hole’s incline
