About this deal

So if you don't like your music to come out compressed and you want to feel the explosions and stuff, see here and scroll to the bottom: https://aiwa. Playing Pink Floyd's Dark side of the Moon where at the beginning where you hear only the heart beat was awesome with the Exos-9. I do enjoy the Exos 9’s EQ capabilities, which let you adjust the sound signature using both presets or manually, letting you get the sound closer to your personal preferences. In case the linking didn't work, please turn off both speakers, wait for about 1 minute, and turn them back on, and repeat the steps.

I've had an Aiwa Exos-9 for a few years and it's been great so far, but there are some select use cases where I've been disappointed with the max volume, such as outdoor parties or loud, crowded indoor spaces. After all, the Aiwa marketing for this speaker was heavily pushing forward the idea of an outdoor boombox-style speaker, and even in the manual, you’ll find the recommendation of using this speaker for the outdoors, camping, or the beach. The size of their first product isn’t so large that it can’t be moved around, but it isn’t so small that it can be thrown into a backpack. To start, the Exos-9 is big, heavy and loud, which makes it perfect for kid’s basement parties and both indoor and outdoor get-togethers. For those that want music to be more than background noise, for those who want their music to have the power to entertain. I’ve seen a lot of sponsored reviews in the past talk about the volume of the Exos 9 beating the likes of the JBL PartyBox series, which I found not to be the case at all.

The housing is entirely made out of a High Quality ABS Plastic, with polyfill stuffing inside to increase the box volume. With that out of the way the "new" Aiwa may be far from what the Aiwa we all knew was (at least in terms of size and available products) but if they continue to design, manufacture and release products like the EXOS-9 their future seems quite bright. To round off, this is a speaker that is happy to give aural pleasure blasting 200w max volume outside at a party or just kicking back and listening at low level indoors. This sound is especially impressive in the low end, where there is a significant amount of bass thanks to the 6. These gaskets are also removable to get access to the mounting screws of the three drivers, but they, like the grille, are a PITA to put back on. This would definitely improve the sound of the Aiwa Exos 9 without needing to add your own mid-side processing via the use of DSP. Perfect for tailgates, camping, backyard fun, the beach, fishing, or any other outdoor activity where nature forgot to install power outlets. The bass pops and thumps without distortion even at high volume and the mids and highs are fantastic, the vocals are so so clear(2 x 1 inch tweet, 2 x 3 inch mids, 1 x 6 1/2 inch sub). However, its lack of current technologies like AirPlay, Google Cast, or a built-in voice assistant make it tough to recommend to those looking to create a multi-room audio system in the home. The design is almost reminiscent of a boombox-style horizontally focused speaker but without the typical configuration of a primary left and right-sided driver placement.I should also mention that after having had their ARC-1 Bluetooth headphones for almost a year now, I can confirm that they didn’t break so far. it has built in a clear display and easy to use 5-band graphic equalizer or you could use one of the presets. If you put that all together, you’ll realize that it’s not the most portable of speakers and there’s a reason for that. Even with the impressive 100dB volume, the Exos 9 still falls a few decibels short of the JBL PartyBox 310 when it comes to measured volume output but does perform better than the JBL Boombox series in this regard. AIWA EXOS 9 vs Edifier E25 Luna – Edifier has made an interesting small stereo speaker setup for just 200 USD with their Edifier Luna, but it isn’t exactly the most well-sounding setup, and for 200 USD, Yamaha Music Cast already provided a better sound, but it came to me to ask what the difference in sonics would be between the 200 USD Luna, and the 300 USD EXOS 9, and well, if you thought that having Stereo would be worth it, I think that isn’t the case at all.
