Unplugged at the Hall of Fame - Bad Company - AllMusic

The growling Les Paul of Mitch Ralph with his famous two-finger slide riffs took me a few years to master but still today is one of rock’s iconic “power” guitar licks.By the end of June 1979, Bad Company was in Maryland, as part of their Northern American tour and on 27th they performed at Largo's Capital Centre. The duo recruited former King Crimson bassist/vocalist Boz Burrell, added drummer Simon Kirke and Rodgers Christened the band Bad Company. Boz Burrell’s bass runs were far ahead of their times and now are copied by every friggin bass player.

The smooth beat of Simon Kirke on drums just made it easy for Paul Rodgers to let loose with the trademark sound of his voice. Although Paul Rodgers left the band in the early 1980s, by 1998 he had re-joined and the original Bad Company went back out on tour for a 32-date US tour in 1999, which included a live acoustic set they performed at the Rock N Roll Hall Of Fame on 21st July, despite the fact that the group have, criminally, still not been inducted into the academy.
