Product Information

The active substance is Hypromellose 0.3% w/v. The other ingredients are Sodium Chloride, Potassium Chloride and a Buffer. Guidance on the responsibilities for Red Drugs can be found here. Red Drugs would usually by prescribed by the hospital for the duration of the course. Primary care prescriber initiation or continuation of treatment not recommended except by Specialist GP and community paediatric prescribing. Do NOT use this product if you are allergic to any of the ingredients in this product (see ingredients tab for full list). Hypromellose Eye Drops are used to treat conditions where not enough tears are made to keep the eye lubricated and clean. Hypromellose Eye Drops lubricate the surface of the eye (including artificial eyes) in the same way as natural tears. It can therefore be used to relieve the dryness and pain associated with reduced or abnormal tear production. Active Ingredients

Each vial contains 0.375 mg of ocriplasmin in 0.3 mL solution (1.25 mg/mL). This provides a usable amount to deliver a single dose of 0.1 mL containing 0.125 mg ocriplasmin.) These medicines are considered suitable for GP prescribing following specialist initiation, including titration of dose and assessment of efficacy.
