About this deal

Frankly, the onboard speakers of the 61-key and 88-key variants of the Roland GO Piano are not a great representation of the sound quality. You might find the sound quality pleasant when using moderate volume levels, but that changes at higher volume levels. The higher levels often pronounce the harsher frequencies. All in all, we see the GO Piano as one instrument that can survive years of use without breaking down. Keys Roland Go features either 66 or 88 unweighted keys with hammer-action mechanism TRANSPOSITION. You can either move up or down within a 12 semitone range to adapt to unfamiliar key signatures.

If you want the best representation of your sound, you’ll need to use the headphone output. I’d also wholeheartedly recommend using headphones while testing the GO:PIANO out if you aren’t convinced by the online sound demos. R. Drilling in the basics and fundamentals isn’t possible without a good practice tool. Good features are responsible for good products. The case is not different for the Roland GO Piano, which has many helpful features for beginners. We will explore the many features of the 61-key and 88-key series of the instrument in our Roland GO digital piano review. Go piano series

You can choose from a variety of 22 genres via the front panel +/- buttons, with a different set of loops available for each genre, which go from Trance to J-Pop via Hip-hop and Reggaeton to name just a few. Once you have a groove going, you can either jam over the top with the selected sound across the entire keyboard, or enter Chord mode, in which the lower octave lets you dictate which chord the virtual band is playing while you use the upper part of the keyboard to solo and play melodies over the top.Roland knows that accompaniment features are a must for many beginners, and they’ve included this functionality through their Piano Partner 2 app, which also doubles as a recording and educational tool. The key count is the only difference between the keys of both GO Piano variants. In comparison, the GO-61P features 61 keys, and the GO-88P consists of 81. However, their keybed is similar. Their keys are fully sized, meaning they match the size of real piano keys. This phenomenon makes the piano a perfect practice tool because it seamlessly lets beginners transition to actual pianos. Ultimately, the GO-61P seems to provide a better user experience, primarily due to the presence of a screen. Performance As we’ve mentioned, the Roland GO Piano has two versions—GO:PIANO Digital Piano (GO-61P) and GO:PIANO Digital Piano (GO-88P). Roland released the 61-key version in January 2017, while it released the 88-key variant two years later in January 2019.
