Pretty much exactly what I'd hoped for from a tiny monitor, even better bass extension than I expected. It for me, creates to much ‘feel good’ for the track before its been earned from actually mixing properly. This package combines two smaller active speakers, each with a 3” woofer and ¾” tweeter, along with a front-facing bass port, isolating base and control over positioning EQ.

Each speaker features a 3/4" silk dome tweeter, a 3" woofer made from special composite material, and a front bass reflex port, with each driver driven by its own Class D power amplifier. I might not master the new Aphex Twin album on them, but for my little iPad music hobby, they’re great. This spacial consideration is probably why the designers opted for an external power block, and decided not to include a headphone amp and socket. Failing that, both have microphone stand connectors on their bottom side so they can be placed off the desk entirely. It allows you to reproduce your music – in every possible mobile situation – as accurately as you would in the comfort of your studio.It’s a shame that the EQ controls are either on or off, with no option to fine tune to get the sound just right.
