About this deal

Nextbase have gone all out to make sure this device is worth upgrading, another feature is the extreme weather mode which uses sophisticated algorithms to improve visibility in fog or other bad weather. The 122 is right at the lower end of the market and is a small, compact device that comes at a budget price. It has all of the essential features you need from a dashcam, including loop recording which writes over the footage you don’t need so you never need to delete the footage. If you need to keep footage, you can manually save it or the built in G-sensor can detect crashes and protect footage for you. Regarding the recording lengths, the camera will record continuously in small segments (1,2, or 3 minutes). It will record these segments consecutively until the SD card is full. Then the oldest piece of footage will be deleted and the newest will be saved in it's place. This will continue looping and is called Continuous Overwriting. The Dash Cam does this automatically to allow for more footage to be recorded and the old, unnecessary footage to be deleted without manual intervention. However Protected footage is not overwritten in the same way. These can fill the card and reduce the quantity of normal footage saved on your SD card. Unlike the 222, the 322GW is compatible with the add-on modules, including the rear camera, rear window camera and the cabin view camera.

Below are links to step by step instructions about how to update the firmware on your Nextbase Dash Cam. The Firmware Update Guides contain instructions for both Windows users as well as Mac users. Select the Dash Cam you have and wish to upgrade The internal hardware and software are where you’ll find the major differences as it’s the first in the series that features WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS connectivity, that’s where the GW comes from. This allows you to connect the 322GW to the MyNextbase Connect app and view your dashcam footage on your mobile phone. By comparison, the 222 dashcam requires you to take out the SD card and insert it into a laptop or PC. We’ll start by looking at a comparison table of the main features and then review each one below. Series 2 Comparison Chart It is essential that you format your SD card every 2-3 weeks to delete the Protected filed and free up space on your memory card for new recordings. So you’re looking to hop onto the dash cam wagon, but you’re short on cash. Very short. So short, in fact, that only the cheapest of the cheap will do. Where do you look? Whilst the answer to that question may have eluded you before now, we’re happy to inform you that you’re already in the right place.

The 622GW includes a variety of useful features and world firsts. Extreme Weather Mode provides a clearer image in misty or foggy conditions, which is crucial when you’re driving in the winter or at night. What3words provides your exact location within three square metres without the need for a data connection, helping emergency services to find you in the event of an accident. The Nextbase In-Car Cam 112 has a G-sensor that detects sudden movements or impacts, automatically saving and protecting the footage from being overwritten. This provides added reassurance that crucial evidence is preserved in case of an accident. The Nextbase 112 features a G-force sensor that's meant to save a video clip when the camera detects a crash. It also has intelligent parking mode that will monitor your vehicle when not in use and record any movements it detects. We recommend the official Nextbase hardwire kit for this to prevent your battery from draining.Unlike many other devices, the power cable actually connects to the mount itself rather than the camera. It uses a micro USB port on the side of the mount and then plugs into the auxiliary/cigarette lighter port on the car itself. It means that, unfortunately, you may find yourself unable to use a GPS alongside the camera as these tend to utilise the same port to power themselves. However, if you’re someone who uses a smartphone to navigate anyway, this won’t be an issue. b) Stop it recording by pressing the red circle in the bottom left hand corner of the dash cam's screen. A MicroSD card slot is used for recording, and no media is included. However, at the top quality setting a 16GB card should be enough for around 112 minutes of footage. Once the memory card is full, as with most dashcams the 112 will begin to loop recordings, deleting the oldest files and replacing them with the new ones as they are captured. The Nextbase In-Car Cam 112 is a dashcam that offers reliable and durable performance. Designed to provide clear and high-quality video footage, it is an effective tool for capturing incidents and providing evidence in case of accidents or disputes. But when we tried it for ourselves, the dash cam we tested was a complete letdown, failing to recognise movement even at the highest sensitivity level.
