About this deal

For safety and hygiene purposes we recommend that you replace teats after 1-2 months of use or whenever they start to show signs of wear. Prior to sterilisation we recommend using the NUK Baby Bottle Cleanser, it’s natural formula removes dried on milk protein, pulp and juice residues more effectively than hot soapy water alone.

Knowing exactly when baby's feed is at the right temperature can be a challenge. NUK First Choice+ baby bottles now have a built-in Temperature Control indicator located on the bottle's graduation marks that changes colour from blue to white when the bottle's contents are too hot (above the optimal feeding temperature of 37 degrees), so you can be sure your baby's milk is always at a comfortable drinking temperature. This bottle is the ideal choice for combined feeding* as the NUK orthodontic teat simulates the shape of a mother's nipple during breastfeeding which gives baby a natural and familiar drinking sensation. The innovative teat also minimises colics** thanks to the NUK Anti-Colic Air System that ensures a natural flow to help your baby drink without swallowing air. Do you have the feeling that your baby is ill or behaving differently? Get some reassurance by taking your baby to the doctor. 4 The teat should always be completely full of milk while feeding. Burping is also important after bottle or breastfeeding. Scientists from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) 2 examined this hypothesis and assessed relevant international studies from the years 1966 to 2004. Glass is the classic material for drinking containers – and also for baby foods. Today, with its higher scratch resistance, glass is a particularly resiliant and environmentally-friendly material. NUK only offers products made from borosilicate glass, which, with its cross-linked surface structure is particularly heat-resistant. Thanks to the high level of transparency of the glass you can easily see if there is any milk or other residue still there when cleaning the bottles. The high heat-resistance means you can clean the glass baby bottles as often as you like and even boil them. And should you give older children tea or juice in them, then the glass of the bottle does not discolour. Make a “deal” with your child: the soother can only be used at home, until your child is ready to say goodbye. Another tactic: motivate your child into giving the soother to someone else as a “present” – e.g. to a newborn you both know, as this baby “needs” the soother urgently. Very important: give your child lots of praise when the beloved soother is given away. A vent in our NUK Anti-Colic AIR SYSTEM helps prevent a vacuum building up in the bottle: your baby can drink continuously without swallowing air. Before your baby uses a new NUK Soother for the first time, you should use a gentle washing-up liquid (e.g. the NUK Bottle Cleanser) [[DEEP LINK]] ) to thoroughly clean it and then boil it for approx. 5 minutes.

An asymmetrically-shaped soother helps babies and toddlers to exercise their mouth and jaw muscles. However, if a soother is just in a baby´s mouth, not being “used”, it should be removed. This is purely a matter of “taste”. Both materials have their advantages. You can, of course, switch between teat materials. However, once children have their first teeth, we recommend the use of soothers made from latex as it is more bite-resistant than silicone. The main difference is that latex is a natural product whereas silicone is synthetically produced. As a result, both materials have their own special characteristics. If there is a little liquid left in the baglet, either just squeeze it out or leave it to dry. Never put the soother in a dishwasher. One cycle is enough to damage the material. This yellow NUK Disposable Teat is widely used in NHS hospitals thanks to its special orthodontic shape. Tip: so that you and your child can be happy with the plastic bottles for a long time, we would recommend that you do not warm up or disinfect the bottles in the microwave. NUK Baby Bottles are well suited to being boiled and sterilised with steam. For decades, NUK has studied the shape of teats in every detail, developed it further and continuously adjusted it based on the latest medical findings. This has resulted in the healthy training of all mouth functions and as natural a sensation as possible. Hygiene

Due to its particularly natural shape, the NUK teat is accepted well by babies. This means that it is specially suited for babies who are both bottle and breastfeed. Talk to your child: explain why it is time to give up using a soother – for example, because your child is getting too big or because the soother is old and tired. With its new soft zone, the silicone baglet is a better fit against the roof of your baby´s mouth – giving a natural feeling while drinking. A little tip: the American Academy of Pediatrics advises always giving soothers to babies until they are one year old, whenever they are going to sleep - day or night. 3 of mothers were satisfied or very satisfied with the NUK First Choice Clinic Teat. The majority of nurses would like to continue working with the new teats.Equipped with the NUK Anti-Colic Air System which helps to equalise air pressure inside the bottle, reducing the risk of baby swallowing air and thus infant colic.

If the food is too hot, the normally blue indicator will turn white. Ideally, the food for feeding should have body temperature (37°C) and corresponds to the mean blue tone on the display. The new Temperature Control function is integrated in NUK First Choice + bottles made of polyamide and polypropylene. Licensed editions are excluded. Babies smoke too – during pregnancy and afterwards as well. Please do not smoke. The risk of cot death increases with every cigarette smoked in your house! Bottles made from polypropylene have a milky transparency, are particularly sturdy and can even be used for freezing food. Baby bottles made from polyamides look the most like glass bottles as they are highly transparent. Both synthetic materials are of course BPA-free. The product range for alternatives without BPA is wide. Precisely which materials they are, we explain for you here:NUK offers baby bottles made out of the synthetic materials polypropylene (PP) andpolyamides (PA). They are particularly light and nearly unbreakable and with that, optimally-suited for use both at home and out and about. Generally speaking, all teats, whether they are made of silicone or latex, should be replaced every 1 to 2 months. However, plastic is neither as heat-resistant as glass and nor as scratchproof. When the bottles are scratched inside, you should replace them, as germs can settle in the scratches more easily.
