The Boss Katana Artist Mk2 lets you combine two Katana Artist Mk2s together, letting you dial-up and run two different sounds together, being able to blend clean and dirty, modulated and dry, basically, the option is yours. Powerful expansion features make it simple to use two Katana-Artist MkIIs together. With Dual Link, you can configure each amp with independent settings and operate them from a single GA-FC foot controller, allowing you to blend clean and dirty tones, create wet/dry setups, and more. Stereo Expand lets you use one amp as the master and the other as the slave, with onboard stereo-compatible effects like chorus, delay, and reverb distributed across both amps for a wide, immersive sound field. The Katana Range has become one of the most favoured amp ranges on the market, due to its incredible tone, feel and response. Robust analog class-AB power amp section delivers the authentic tone and highly musical response that Katana amps are noted for So on the amp itself you have direct control over effects levels, which is really all you need, but tweakers need not worry as the Katana’s software app provides more than enough gratification with, typically, six parameters to play with on most effects. Pre-set counters will have already worked out the Katana Artist can hold 15 different effects including reverbs; you can choose from no less than 58 different models in the latest Version 2 software and load them into the amp, which can use up to three simultaneously. There are four patch select buttons with an A/B bank select switch, which access the Artist’s eight on-board memory slots when the foot controller isn’t in use. The effects section follows the same pattern as other Katanas with two split rotary level controls - one for boost and mod effects, the other for Delay and FX - and a third un-split level control dedicated to reverb. Above each level knob is a small button switch that accesses three pre-loaded choices for each effect position, colour-coded by an LED that lights up in red, green or yellow. Read more… Katana MkII Version 2 BOSS Katana—Sharper Than Ever The optional GA-FC/GA-FC EX foot controller is the perfect partner for the Katana-Artist MkII—it connects with a single cable, requires no external power, and has a slim, rugged profile that takes up minimal space. With six footswitches, you can recall Tone Settings and turn the five effects sections on/off. The GA-FC also supports external footswitches and expression pedals, with default assignments that include tap tempo, bank selection, foot volume, and Pedal FX. Assignments can be customized via BOSS Tone Studio, including pedal control of up to three parameters at once. This is down to the analogue A/B Power Amp, which is the same type found on iconic valve amps. This means that the very heart of the amplifier reacts just like a valve amp, giving that essential breakup sound and dynamic response that they are synonymous for. Each Katana Amp can have its power output changed, meaning it is ready to be used in any playing environment you should ever need. It can be ran at gig volume, practice and bedroom volumes. You can even run it on headphones for silent practice too. As well as the 10 natural-sounding amp models within the Katana Range, there is a whopping 60+ effects to choose from, which can be fully edited with the free Boss Tone Studio software for Mac and PC. Each Katana model can have your favourite patches stored directly to the amp (x4 KTN-50 & x8 KTN-100 Upwards), 15 effects can be stored per patch.
