If you get that right and the print holds on the flex plate (more on that in a moment), it's a great thing. Have not had any adhesion issues (over- or under-) since them (nearly a year now)--other than when using that god-awful water based crap. During the warranty period, if the laser tube has any appearance cracks (including but not limited to cracks caused by improper handling or cracks caused by freezing temperatures), after-sales warranty services can't be provided normally. If one had dealt attentively with the topic, one would have realized that one must print out a spacer with the old platform BEFORE modification, which must be inserted between the flag and threaded spindle.
Mars Onboard Build Plate Dripper While I like the idea of the Mars supplied device for leaning your build plate while dripping clean, it takes two hands and you need a place to keep it when out of service. As far as I see there is now plate exactly for the size of the Mars 3 (at least not here in germany). One thing I don’t like about it is the fact that I didn’t get the spacing quite right and it triggers my OCD.
Some mention that it works very well and is much cheaper than the others, while others say that it has failed entirely, is absolutely useless, and has 0% adhesion. you can quickly change the sheets without the need for multiple build platforms (a platform costs around 30 €, a sheet around 2 €).I had the problem with this design, that whenever i hung up the Buildplate the whole contrption would tip forward, thus creating a huge mess. To make it easier to remove the print, flexible surfaces can be used, with which the model can be easily removed by bending it.
Used the resources of this community to spec out my Elegoo Mars 3 from the base model to "Pro" variant. REMEBER you MUST relevel the bed following the manufacturers instructions for your individual printer, in some cases you may need to add a spacer for the Z axis sensor, in regards to the Elegoo Mars 2 the sensor is not needed, just make sure you loosen the nuts fully before leveling.I eventually took an angle grinder to the play to rough up the surface but it only made a marginal difference.
