About this deal

Amidst breathtaking, beautifully animated scenery, they encounter a forest full of wildlife, including hilarious moose brothers Rutt and Tuke, wooly mammoths, rambunctious rams and more. Kenai has to go through the moose to get at Koda, who he realizes is necessary to get him to where he's going. More dangerous are the implications of everyone’s vested interest in that spirit world and vice versa. His courageous and often zany journey introduces him to a forest full of wildlife, including the lovable bear cub Koda, hilarious moose Rutt and Tuke, woolly mammoths, rambunctious rams and lots more!

Because actually just "widescreen" and "full screen" would not be correct, because of the special way this movie was made.

I would expect most of the new DTV stuff will eb coming out on DVD in the 16:9 aspect ratio from now on.

image is surrounded by black bars, then at approximately 24 minutes into the movie they image widens out to a full 2. So the "family friendly" version would probably depict the "human" part of the film correctly, but then crop off the sides of the "bear" part, so that the film would seamlessly be the same size/ratio.Less frustrating is “Koda’s Outtakes,” which features a running farting gag that’s rather amusing, and two “exciting” games: a bone puzzle obviously designed for toddlers and a question-and-answer test that allows you to find your totem.

This looks like a problem in the actual colouring of the animation rather than a problem with the transfer. Story didnt grab me at the begining but unfolded slowly into a very good movie with laughs coming mainly from the two dopey moose.

He’s a member of the New York Film Critics Circle, the Critics Choice Association, and the Latino Entertainment Journalists Association. The supporting comedy troupe of animal goofballs (essentially a smorgasboard of ethnic stereotypes and cultural clichés, from Italian-American rams to surfer-dude bears) and the embarrassing Earth Mother chants by Phil Collins further remove us from the world of the sacred past and straight into a Disney marketeer’s cubicle. There's no way to lose, and ultimately, they start repeating the same ones, so I suspect the (safe) assumption is that you'll tire of it eventually, even if the "prize" clips are fun. Of course, the entertainment value of the commentary, like Strange Brew, is totally subject to taste.

Best of all, Brother Bear manages to thrill and amuse audiences with an effectiveness that surpasses most of today's cinema. We will introduce you exclusively to Newpay finance products provided by NewDay Limited under this Introducer Appointed Representative arrangement. Brother Bear also marks, if not the end of an era, at least an interruption, as Disney famously closed its Florida animation studio after completing the production. The more “family-friendly” features naturally appear on the less desirable first disc, which begins with an un-listenable commentary track by the “hilarious moose from the film,” Rutt and Tuke.

In their travels, Kenai and Koda meet a couple of hilarious moose (Rick Moranis and Dave Thomas) who provide comic relief to this otherwise heart-rending family tale. Disney fans will simply love re-watching this magical adventure all over again in the comfort of their own home.
