About this deal

I also really appreciated that we got to see other gods and the way that they were described at the Gala was such a fun scene!

It will obviously feature a little bit of overlap, but flipping between the two series will offer more enlightenment to events with both perspectives while maintaining some of the suspense for the larger storyline. There is only roughly a year between publishing dates for these two books, and most of A Touch of Darkness is reused in A Game of Fate. So much of these books were inspired by myths, and once you finish this series, you will be familiar with the basic family tree of the Greek gods (well, as familiar as a person could be with that incestuous mess), as well as key monsters and stories which you will find in the ancient sources such as the Odyssey by Homer and Hesiod’s Theogony and Works and Days.I've been looking for a fiction book about the gods for a long time so when I found this I jumped at it without really looking into it and I regret it.

Can we move past the dynamic of "virginal college-aged woman" and "brooding worldly billionaire", please? Hermes is still 100% my favourite character in this book, he is the sassy comedic relief we really need in this book after pages and pages of constant whining and literally NOTHING HAPPENING. Readers and fans of fantasy romance books are in love with the Hades x Persephone series by Scarlett St.Being privy to each of their thoughts is such a special thing as a reader, and it’s something I would love to see more authors do. So, this is a little post with some book recommendations for people who want to learn about Greek mythology but have no idea where to start, or are a bit overwhelmed with the number of books out there! Bloom Books is an imprint of Sourcebooks, which focuses on publishing women authors and allowing authors to have more authority in the final decisions regarding their books than some traditional publishers.

He makes no exceptions to these values—not for god or mortal, even his lover, Persephone, Goddess of Spring. I really enjoyed this book, and I had A LOT of opinions and thoughts about it, which you can read all about here!Persephone will find out that her destiny is to rule besides Hades, but their union is not seen ok by the God, a relationship which be contested and hated. I read them back to back, so it’s logical to do one review, which will incorporate all my feelings and impressions. You’ll also find many, many tidbits from Greek mythology all throughout the book including common names and other myths! All of that changes when she sits down in a forbidden nightclub to play a hand of cards with a hypnotic and mysterious stranger.
