About this deal

The fact it can work anywhere, including on glass desks that seem to be used in every hotel room, is also a huge plus. The Logitech MX Anywhere 2 is constructed with premium materials, making it reliable and durable over time. The MX Anywhere 2 is a right-hand travel mouse, so it is more compact than Logitech’s desktop offerings. A power switch on the bottom toggles the mouse on or off, and a small circular button allows you to jump between up to three paired devices.

The left side has forward and back buttons just above the thumb rest, while the scroll wheel itself can also be pushed left or right for a variety of uses. ddriver - Thursday, December 17, 2015 - link Yes, the majority of the issues I've had with logitech products were related to the switches. I own the earlier iteration of M905 that has matte finish, which in my opinion is a much, much better than the later, re-released version that sports glossy, grime inviting looks. Samus - Thursday, December 17, 2015 - link I agree Logitech quality is crap compared to the days of the original MX-series mice and di Novo products, but that doesn't mean they aren't innovative. Maybe I’m exaggerating it a bit, maybe the stone colour is more of a ‘warm grey with earthly tones’ – but I think a bit more clearly silver/grey one would have been a safer choice.Logitech’s MX Anywhere 2 mouse delivers everything the discerning user would expect from a desktop mouse and packs into a small, easy-to-use, easy-to-carry device. To me, the only thing that was missing on the original Anywhere MX is that you can’t charge the mouse battery within the mouse itself. Through my years here, I've tested and reviewed many, many dozens of laptops and desktops, and I am always happy to recommend a PC for your needs and budget. The mouse connects via Bluetooth, or you can use the included Pico Unifying Receiver, which will also work with Logitech keyboards. Following 2009's Logitech Anywhere MX mouse, The MX Anywhere 2 has since been followed up by the MX Anywhere 2S and MX Anywhere 3.

In most cases you probably can just leave it on the laptop you carry around and it’ll be fine because it is so small. You can connect to Windows® and Mac via our smallest-ever Pico Unifyingâ„¢ receiver (included) or via Bluetooth® low energy wireless technology.

The compact and powerful MX Anywhere 2 works everywhere you do and on virtually any surface—even glass. For example, by default it controls your desktop, so holding the gesture button and moving the mouse up will pull up the Windows start menu, while left, right, and down will move between or hide desktops. OK… Maybe the colour isn’t as bad as I’m making it out to be, but it kind of bothers me (if you can’t tell) and every time something truly grey or silver is put next to it, the yellowy tint just stands out so much more. There are likely people around who only exclusively use a trackpad, but for those of us who prefer a mouse, having a mouse makes working easier.

The Darkfield sensor is still as excellent as ever, providing very accurate tracking even on a problematic surface such as a transparent glass table. You get an almost ambidextrously shaped mouse, with a pair of forward and back buttons on the left side of the body, a high quality metal scroll wheel that can be tilted for horizontal scrolling, and the venerable DarkField laser sensor that can go up to 1600 DPI and able to track almost on any surface. The mouse doesn’t however do this when used with the Pico receiver, but as explained earlier it’s not the most convenient thing for me to have stick out of the laptop all the time and as there’s no storage in the mouse for the receiver I don’t want to carry it with me either, because I would probably end up losing it in no time. The important bit though is how good is this mouse on surfaces that would normally stump an optical mouse. If you press down on the mouse wheel it alters the scrolling mode between free/normal) More criticism! Overall, the Logitech MX Anywhere 2 is a versatile, well-designed peripheral for professional users who demand high-quality, wireless navigation. Please don’t get me wrong, the thing is, I would only consider suggesting the new MX Anywhere 2 if, and only if Logitech cease the sell of the original Anywhere MX.
