In the summer of 2016 I visited the western part of the NC500 together with my son for two weeks, my wife joined us for another week (from Inverness to Glen Affric, Durness, Old Man of Stoer, Ullapool, Isle of Skye, Fort William, Glencoe, Loch Awe an then back home). for those who have experienced the route,it will bring back great memories,with fantastic photos of the sights you’ve seen…. Thoroughly recommend this to fellow camper van and motorhome tourers as well as subscribing to their YouTube channel and following their adventures!

We have over the years visited many parts of Scotland and experienced all weathers, even trout and salmon fishing on North Uist in a Force 7 in a boat – must have been mad as we broke the oar and had to drift to shore and walk back to the car. Our mobility at times can be limited so this information is important to us to enable us to visit and or stay in appropriate areas. I havn’t personally driven the NC500, but I have a clearer Idea of what awaits thanks to this painstakingly assembled book.Then I went out to find the wonderful, magical places I’d read about such as the Fairy Glen Waterfalls. The information is extremely helpful for Motorhome owners, as we are, and what with the wonderful photographs, well, it’s given us even more incentive to travel and visit the NC500 as soon as we can find a fortnight or so, spare days to do so. As someone who is planning to travel this route (amongst others in the glorious highlands) it is an ideal ‘ taster’ of things to come. Whether you are planning to travel the NC500 or have already done it this book will serve as a guide and an excellent reminder of your travels.

While planning a motorhome tour including the NC500, its great to have a guide written by people who have done exactly that.
