About this deal

It won't cost you extra, yet it will financially support me a bit in my ongoing quest great affordable audio. If you can afford them, the Apple AirPods Pro Truly Wireless are better truly wireless headphones than the Anker SoundCore Life P2 Truly Wireless. If you don't and maybe do more sports then I would personally look at something like the Soundcore Life A1 https://youtu. With this great capacity, it would have been neat to see dual-charging capabilities like the JLab Epic Air Sport ANC. If you're looking for longer continuous battery life, you may prefer the Sony WF-C500 Truly Wireless.

The fact that it is not possible to see from the outside when the batteries are charged isn’t ideal, but the Life P2 Mini is equipped with a practical quick-charge function. The case and buds have a familiar aesthetic and use USB-C charging, rather than its dated microUSB ancestor. It has this typical thick Soundcore-thump: it's not very fast or precise, but it still feels powerful as its strikes last quite a while. In podcast mode, there is a slight boost in the mid-frequency spectrum, while the bass range is attenuated. The sub-bass doesn't strike very deep or detailed, but there's plenty of rumble and mid-bass presence to make it sound full in the lows. The Skullcandy Dime 3 True Wireless and the Anker SoundCore Life P2 Truly Wireless are similarly performing wireless earbuds, but the Skullcandy offer better features. This follows Anker’s high-value, low-cost philosophy without causing ear pain when operating the touch controls. Luckily, they block the high frequencies of A/C units well, making these a decent option to keep you concentrated in the office.

However, at the same time, it severely reduces your own voice, which can make it more difficult for the other person to hear you clearly. Now available for 50 dollars, the Lypertek SoundFree S20 has the energetic bass sound you may just be looking for in a cheap Soundcore model. The Skullcandy have a more neutral sound profile overall and a longer continuous battery life, making them a great choice for commutes. If you're looking for a similar pair of truly wireless headphones that have an ANC feature, consider the Anker Soundcore Liberty Air 2 Pro Truly Wireless. There still isn't much separation between the mid-bass and deepest darkest sub-bass tones, and the mid-bass doesn't strike as fast or isn't as detailed as on some other Soundcore's more affordable models. EQ Modes: Soundcore Signature, Bass Booster, and Podcast modes tailor the sound profile to what you’re listening to.

They are matte with a shiny back inlay in the middle, and the top of the stem is connected to an oval in-ear piece we now see on so many wireless earbuds. There is a bass booster EQ mode which has a negative impact in terms of overall clarity and balance. While they support aptX, they don't support aptX(LL), and they aren't recommended for watching videos or gaming, as their latency is very high. In contrast, last year’s popular model used classic push buttons on the remote and had a higher total runtime. The Life P2 mini has three equalizers to choose from instead of P2i's two, but the latter has clear voice prompts that indicate the EQ you activate - and their purpose is more obvious: the higher one for podcasts, the Bass EQ for music.

Despite their weight of only a few grams, these headphones have long-lasting batteries that offer a runtime of eight hours and fifteen minutes at higher volumes. Compared to the basic sound, voices are reproduced louder, feel closer and are more centrally focused. I did find some noticeable latency issues when using P2 Mini for gaming, but watching video content they were perfectly in sync. Conversely, the Life P2 support the aptX Bluetooth codec and have much lower latency on mobile Android and iOS devices. Like most in-ear headphones, the Anker SoundCore Life P2 don’t trap any heat inside your ear, so you shouldn’t notice a difference in temperature when wearing them. Many thanks to all of my readers and contributors, both for the ongoing support and for your patience while I had some downtime. If you’re someone who never uses onboard controls anyway, you can get away with the Anker Soundcore Life P2 and enjoy it.
