About this deal

Our first impressions were that we’d have to get our thinking caps on and we found that very exciting. By signing up you agree to Crafty Arts Ltd using your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Join the community and come discuss games like Codenames, Wingspan, Brass, and all your other favorite games! I can imagine bringing it with us when we go to my sisters for Christmas Eve festivities to play and having a really great time with it.

As a family we love nothing more than exploring different places whether that is in the city we live in or further afield. This exciting word game requires players to explain words and learn more about the country you love the best!UK Alias - the exciting game where you explain words and learn more about the country you love the best! By sharing your interests and behavior as you visit our site, you increase the chance of seeing personalized content and offers. The most funniest and stressing thing about this game is that once the timer runs out, the opposing team has a chance to answer the question if you are still on the question when the timer runs out. For each correct guess the team moves forward, and the team that reaches the finish space first wins the game! Abundant word content from categories such as Objects and things, People and professions, Adjectives and Verbs.

The other team members take guesses at the word, and words that have been correctly guessed earn the team one point per word. The game is best suited for larger families or special occasions such as Christmas where there is a larger crowd. The red colour of the board has been replaced with yellow, and the appearance is more child-friendly. However, in Alias, there are no "taboo" words, the only word you can't say when giving clues is the secret word itself. She found that if she did find a challenging word that she could not describe, she could look it up in a dictionary and use it for her writing at school and for when she next plays the game. Junior Alias is otherwise like the normal Alias, except there are also pictures to be explained and the words have been chosen to fit for children. My daughter is 12 years old and she was able to describe some of the words well but there were some that she did not know.

The game was also quite long especially if we played it exactly to the rules and took steps back for every missed word. Sounds easy, but the time is against you…Alias is the perfect challenge for experienced players as well as beginners. While you describe the drawing on the card, other players guess what it is… But you can’t say certain words! To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instructions can be a difficult thing to follow with some games but we were all clear on exactly how to play the game as soon as we read them and started playing. The teams play in turns, and on each team's turn, one of the team members has to explain words on word cards to the other team members.

We have played it in the evenings several times and also Emily played it few times with friends that came over. I found it slightly disappointing as my younger child wanted to sit at the table and play but he could not describe some of the words so that made him feel left out. After all the gameplay they have had, they are still in very good condition and the kids can be quite harsh in packing it away!Everything is done very professionally with this company and always lets you know every step of the process. They say it's a fun game that will keep them entertained for hours, it' s the best board game ever, and it' is very sociable.
