About this deal

If you were talking about the XP-Pen Artist 13 (and not the XP-Pen Artist 13 Pro), then the Huion Kamvas Pro 13 is better without a doubt. With up to 8,192 levels of pressure sensitivity, it provides you with increased accuracy and enhanced performance to create the finest sketches and lines, even presenting the nuance of different hairs. Combine with breakthrough red dial design, to help capture and express your ideas faster and more easily.

Between XP Pen Star 03 V2 and Huion H610 Pro V2, which one do you think have better build quality and button feeling (since you have said that you have Huion H610Pro (8192) in your Master list). You can even use it as a second monitor for coding or something if you’re not drawing 😆 Very useful when making games! As you can see in the picture above, the pen tip is really close to the cursor, with big reductions made to the thickness of the glass using the fully-laminated display. I understand how you like Huion Kamvas lineup more than XP-Pen artist on your experience for nice quality, though I personally prefer dial not just for brush size, rotation and zoom, but also used for animation scrubber using , and .As usual, this review is based on my honest thoughts and opinions about the tablet and I will never agree to review a product if I am required to say only good things about it. Ideally, all the above tests should have at least a “Pass-ish” for their grades because the most vital function of a drawing tablet is to draw properly and predictably. Usually, the only way to fail this section is if the pen is noticeably laggy and causes unwanted inputs like fishhooks at the beginning or end of the line. Personally, I think I would recommend the Huion Kamvas Pro 16 over the GAOMON PD1560 because it uses a laminated screen so the thickness of the glass between the pen and screen is reduced.

As you saw in the Drawing tests section, there are some fairly clear bumps in the taper which make it not as perfect as it could be. The actual drawing experience on the XP-Pen Artist 12 Pro was decently enjoyable, but there was one issue which I hated having to deal with, and that is the cursor accuracy. I am looking for an entry level drawing tablet and after a long internet comparison of different brands, my eyes have fallen on the Artist 12 line of products from XP Pen. Pro does, and this makes it completely possible to draw on the Artist 12 Pro while mainly using the shortcut buttons. I have notified XP-Pen about this and they told me they will work on fixing it, but there has been no update regarding a fix since March 15, 2019.The straight cable is such an easy way to accidentally break the tablet because it juts straight out of the tablet, whereas an L-shaped cable would be much harder to accidentally snag and subsequently break the port/tablet.

With regards to the difference between the XP-Pen Artist 12 and Artist 12 Pro, I suggest that you don’t consider the Artist 12, especially if the Artist 12 Pro is cheaper. Despite the minor parallax issues and somewhat inconsistent performance on different programs (who knows, maybe I was just unlucky with SketchBook), I still think you get the most bang for your buck with the Artist 12 Pro.

Artist 12 Pro drawing tablet seamlessly combines the glass and screen to create a distraction-free working environment. As in this tablet you have 8 buttons and the red wheel, you’ll need to set your favourite, most used shortcuts so you’ll be working smoothly. The multi-function Pen Holder keeps your pen and pen nibs safe, and doubles as a pen stand or pen holder. You can use those settings to roughly calibrate your XP-Pen Artist 12 Pro if you get one, but I am not sure how similar the colours are between my device and others, so be warned that it might not be the right settings for all XP-Pen Artist 12 Pro devices.

I used the shortcut keys for a while and they were very enjoyable to use, especially because there are actually enough shortcut keys on this tablet for most of my functions. Pro, so it seems that XP-Pen changed something on the Artist 12 Pro which made its pen less accurate. Comes with a replaceable anti-glare optical film to reduce glare and keep your screen crisp and clear even bright light. On the XP-Pen Artist 12 Pro, the cable is just a straight cable, not an L-shaped cable, meaning that it doesn’t take advantage of the multi-direction feature of USB type-C.
