This, their 12 year old, while slightly fuller and more complex than the 10 year old, which used to be the flagship expression, is nicely light and delicate, sweet and creamy on the palate and with a herbal, slightly dry finish which actually makes a it good aperitif and is in the classic Lowland style. Glenkinchie is perfect as an aperitif Single Malt or at the start of a meal due to its fragrant, light and appetising body and taste. I have always found Glenkinchie the Perfect Balance to a day of HARD WORK a drop of uische bahama and settle back in your chair.
