The Kaweco Brass Sport ballpoint pen is made of solid, untreated CNC machined brass which will age and develop its own unique patina over time unless polished. The Kaweco Sport range is one of those products that is so great, it has barely changed since it was first introduced in 1935! The Brass Sport closely follows an original 1935 octagonal design of being small in the pocket, large in the hand. The Classic Sport range, introduced to market in 1934, broke new ground in modern design for its unique octagonal barrel and handy portable size intended for use by ‘ladies, officers and sportspeople’.The Sport range still forms the backbone of Kaweco's product range today, and now extends from translucent plastic to solid aluminium versions; and from fountain pens to clutch pencils via ballpoint, rollerball and ink roller versions. The Brass Sport Ballpoint Pen from Kaweco is manufactured from a solid block of brass and then left untreated to develop its own unique patina over time although it can easily be polished back to a shine if preferred. As a result, offering a smooth and seamless writing experience that remains comfortable for long periods of time. With the cap on, the pen is 10cm long - however when removed and mounted on the top of the pen, the pen is 13 cm long.

We use a state of the art laser engraving machine which gently etches away the top layer of the pen to reveal the base metal underneath.
