About this deal

NIGHT MUSIC was a book that really delved into the harshness of life, and I couldn’t get enough of it. And of course Isabel is so incredibly gullible and naive with things like this so she doesn’t see what’s happening right under her nose. Stereotypes feel familiar, after all, and I knew these people would remain in character and play their parts correctly. I’m not gonna spill more beans but I can only say the conclusion about some of the characters’ stories are not fair!

At night Isabel plays her beloved violin whilst accepting that she can’t jet off round the world performing as she used to. A story about a woman who loses not only her husband but her sense of security when she finds out she’s broke, NIGHT MUSIC was beautifully written and completely captured me. Isabel will discover an instinct for survival she never knew she had - and that a heart can play a new song .

She developed such grit and determination throughout the story, and though it wasn’t the life she had wanted, she learned to take pride in it.

Me Before You has now sold over fourteen million copies worldwide and was adapted into a major film starring Sam Claflin and Emilia Clarke. Her books include the bestsellers The Girl You Left Behind, The One Plus One, Me Before You and After You and her short story collection Paris for One and Other Stories. She won a bursary financed by The Independent newspaper to study journalism at City University and subsequently worked for The Independent for 10 years.I was a little put off when I read some negative reviews, but I am glad that chose to read this book. The secondary characters in this book (many of them with occasional points of view,) were wonderful to read. The exclusive lifestyle she had become accustomed to is now well beyond her reach, and what is more she is ill prepared to adapt to her new circumstances. Everything leading up to "the action parts" just drags and drags, the house demolition and Isabels inner misery.

She had a chance of a normal relationship and some happiness, but she threw it away so she could spend the rest of her life being Matt's doormat, it was such a depressing ending. Isabel is a successful violinist who doesn't get her hands dirty, her daughter Kitty is a sensible 15 year old who misses her friends and son Thierry has not spoken since his father was killed in a road accident a year ago. The worst thing about Isabelle was the fact she chose to get married and have kids when she knew she couldn't ever love and support them how they needed. From the Sunday Times bestselling author of Me Before You and the new 2023 novel Someone Else's Shoes. So, when she arrives, she is shocked to see the house in a dilapidated state and the villagers are not the friendliest bunch of people. Laura was a complete twit staying with him when she knew he didn't love her or respect her, and was happily shagging half the village. Un muzician trăiește pentru muzica sa, iar Isabel Delancy este atât de pasionată de vioară și de muzica ei, încât orice altceva cade pe locul 2.

With the house falling down around them, and the last of her savings fast disappearing, Isabel turns to her neighbours, not knowing that her mere presence there has stirred up long-standing obsessions. Isabel Delancey finds herself in dire straits when she realizes that her money is running out, and with two children to support, she has to face some harsh realities. Still wrapped up in the grief of losing her husband, her children have clearly suffered, she makes poor choices that impacts them and seems to take an age to come together.Unlike a lot of Moyes’ work, it does not have both a contemporary and a historical section but has a multitude of characters to get to grips with and, as always, I found the characterisation to be near perfect. When she finds out that she has inherited a house in the country, it seems like a great new start for her and her two children. If you like this book, you might also enjoy Blue Slipper Bay by Wendy K Harris, or Uphill All the Way by Sue Moorcroft. Isabel lost her husband in a car crash and with no money and two children to provide for, she views 'Spanish.
