About this deal

If you don't have enough money to afford a fragrance that is similar in some ways to its predecessor, you shouldn't even be rating the fragrance or commenting on it in the first place. It opens with a slight coca cola-like sweetness, while it keeps the original profumo's DNA for the whole time. And while I love both of those fragrances, I needed something a little more 'fun' for spring and summer.

It's a bold but not loud scent that suits more formal occasions for a well-spoken, collected individual. After a couple of comparaison of the 2 ADG Profumo, I can say they are slightly different, more then the first time i've try the new Special Blend. The performance is perfect (and I have a 2019 bottle), being strong but never overwhelming, leaving behind an elegant trail. Without lying, I think it's my favorite perfume, too bad I've never had it and above all it's discontinued. The only difference I can feel is that this Special Blend is slightly more vivid ans alive than the previous Profumo. Long lasting -> 10+ hours, depends on weather, Great Sillage - I get 5-7h of great sillage, about 10-12h of skin scent.

Just picked up Special Blend from my local Macy's to take advantage of their current 15% discount offer. At the end, the marine notes rises above the tides after the incense dies out, paying homage to the ADG DNA.I'll put it this way -- original Profumo (and all the ADG line) has a playful side whereas special blend is straight up business. Sadly, many will never know what it is like to be bewitched by the old-school formulation with its high-quality frankincense.

I was worried that such an expensive bottle would disappoint me in that area, but it was not a let down at all. May fit the bill for who is just starting a frag collection, but if one has more than 10 bottles, there is probably already another fragrance doing the same job on the shelf. Though, while I do believe it is more of an evening fragrance, I feel it may work in an office with the right man who holds high confidence in himself. I've had a travel version that smelled better for some reason and lasted longer than these two, but they are still good. The patchouli note is the main player here, gives off a darker tone as well as a spicy minty odor while Profumo is more aquatic with a smoky / spicy touch.

Many other people have described the scent better than me, but to my nose this is a beautiful combination of sharp, clean incense, soft, leafy patchouli, salt, and aromatics, exactly as the pyramid implies. Apparently, my comment has not been appreciated by Jeremy's fragrance army who loves whatever Jeremy loves.

The only place I wouldn’t recommend to wear is the club as this comes off more mature and sophisticated. I have been told that I smell so good, really good and that I smell like the boss wearing it (was not at work)! Just something 'off' about it, he was wearing it in summer and mixed with minimal sweat I reckon this just killed it. Marketing says this tweaks the smell a bit but nobody will be able to tell the difference on you – they're 99. Around the 5-6 hour mark there was no more projection but it still had a slightly noticeable scent trail.Let's face it -- Jeremy hyped this up mostly because he was sucking up to Morallis so they can work together.
