I appreciate the slightly aromatic qualities that keep it from turning into a super sweet orange soda scent. This is like a really nice cheap floral almost like Adidas Floral Dream with some nice flowers and vanilla.I can't remember the scent of that old bottle but I remember thinking it smelled classy, mature, and pretty. I personally prefer Light Blue range because of the freshness from the apple, but this is still a really nice substitute. In LB the citric note is acidic, not sour, and that does not surprise me because it has got lemon but no grapefruit. I do like to put it on after a shower in warm weather, but I probably won't get another bottle after I'm through with mine.The citrus in it smells really fresh and there's definitely a bit of a bite to it, kind of like laundry soap, but in a good way. immediately after it dries down into a sort of grapefruit - this definitely cuts through the sweetness trying to emerge. I prefer light fragrances to heavy ones and since this one is so affordable I don't feel bad about it not having the best longevity. Although this doesn't smell straight up like grapefruit (I think the sugar and red currant give it some variety), it's definitely the star.
