About this deal

In displays, which have a native resolution (the TFT ones, for example), the pixel pitch depends on the resolution and the size of the screen. Trying to sit to the left of the monitor turned everything a grey-red shade for some reason (could be the nanocell tech). Here, ANC uses a special chip along with a dual mic setup to remove ambient noises from the background of the microphone feed.

Officially, the monitor is able to hit 90% of the DCI-P3 color gamut, and while it meets the requirements for HDR it only hits the minimum, with an HDR brightness of 400 nits (and matching DisplayHDR 400 certification). Our casual gaming skills were not enough to perceive a difference in response between the FHD resolution of the CV27F and the QHD screen of the CV27Q. I love the subtle design of the monitor, and Aorus deserves great praise for their OSD Sidekick app, which makes adjusting the settings and selecting profiles a breeze on this monitor. The ANC feature uses two mics installed in the CV27Q’s front bezel that monitor background noise and apply the necessary correction to reduce the background noise others hear when you're speaking into an attached gaming headset.

You also use still use FreeSync and even G-Sync (even though it’s not officially certified), while in HDR if you use the DisplayPort 1. The response time is by Aorus specified to 1 ms (MPRT), but as in most cases where you get these types of specifications, you are best off being a bit skeptical. Plenty to play with, and our favourite value-add is the Sidekick desktop app (pictured below), which provides access to the monitor's various features from within Windows. As I also touched upon in my review of the Aorus FI27Q monitor, it gets to me that some manufacturers have started using this measurement approach and not the typical GtG method, which has been a golden standard for a long time. Pay in 3 is a form of credit, may not be suitable for everyone and use may affect your credit score.

You can also coordinate it with other RGB Aorus components, such as its LED fans and CPU coolers, using Gigabyte’s RGB Fusion app. The stand for this monitor is robust and solid, and this means that the monitor sits firmly on your desk. By accelerating the twisting speed of the liquid crystals, the response time can be reduced to 1ms, and let you enjoy a fluent gaming experience without any ghosting effects. Meanwhile on the output side of matters, GIGABYTE claims that the monitor offers a 120 dB signal-to-noise-ratio (SNR), with the monitor able to support high impedance headphones up to 600 Ohm.

FPS gaming since the pre-Quake days, where you were insulted if you used a mouse to aim, he has been addicted to gaming and hardware ever since.

Overall construction is good, and as expected, Aorus continues to adorn the back of the panel with RGB lighting.A single joystick under the panel’s center-point offers control over all functions, including the power toggle. Please do not use the `Remember me` option if using a computer with public access or that is used by more than one person. The feature made the image look flat and grayed out, which to me looked more boring than that of the standard version.

which vows to analyse 1,296 on-screen partitions and lighten dark areas to help gamers see what is lurking in the shadows. Each has its own specific features - viewing angles, color reproduction, response time, brightness/contrast, production cost, etc. And though the F delivered higher framerates, the Q showed 2ms less input lag, which will only be seen by the most-skilled players.
