Ideally, we would have wanted to do 3 tests as a minimum for a single thermal paste and showing the average of these three runs but due to my poor health condition, one test result is shown.

I put Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut High Performance Thermal Paste on my 5800X and Noctua NH-D15 Chromax Black cooler about 15 months ago.Thermal compounds fill in microscopic gaps and imperfections on the surfaces of the CPU/GPU and the heatsink. There is an eleven year gap between the MX-4 and MX-5, and the promotion of the Noctua NT-H1 to the more efficient NT-H2 took even two years longer. Cons: The thermal paste does feel thick and difficult to spread but I had no issues using 'pea' or 'x' method. runs at 70-75C (still hot but much better and this CPU is known to run extremely hot) whereas the 5900x now runs 70-72C, both with PBO and long session gaming/benchmark. I have now filled out the form and supplied them with, what I believe to be, the batch number from the packaging.

I've used a bunch over the years and honestly they all seem to perform within a few degrees of each other assuming your cooling solution is sufficient and your using good TIM. After the debacle of the MX-5, Arctic Cooling launched the MX-6, the true successor to the previously popular MX-4. This ensures consistent performance over time and reduces the risk of the thermal paste “pumping out” from between the CPU/GPU and heatsink due to heat cycling. For this we need a picture proof of the separation (picture of the paste on a sheet of paper, as well as the entire syringe).The only other option for paste that cools this well is Kryonaut, but that paste loses efficiency and becomes dry at temperatures of 80°C which is normal operating temperatures for a lot of graphics cards and even CPUs with many cores. The affected products show an increased separation of oil within the paste, resulting in premature hardening. Some mention that it spreads easily and cools very well, while others say that it's a lot harder to spread and get an equal level, and that the very thick paste doesn't spread well.
