About this deal

That’s not an issue as the moving boot to SSD will sort that out, and I can always re-format these in OMV. Picked up some thermal pads, reinstalled the hard drives with some cut to size and squished between the drive side and the heatsink-like back panel.

However we'll be updating all the Argon Cases for the Raspberry Pi 5 to maximize all the new features of the RPi5. I've got a 120mm fan 'ere with a USB connector and a manual three-speed-and-off control switch: set to its lowest speed, which is pretty much silent despite being within arm's reach on my desk, and pointed at the heatsink-like rear of the case.

Anyone keen on trying to use GPIO pins for something cool, also have access to the 40-pin header at the back of the case. Isn't it recomended or is there just no guide because there is already a guide for a different nextcloud docker solution (unfortunately without office included)? A long time ago, I read and article about air flow from fans in a case with a obstructed air inlet/outlet… the gist of the article was… if the barrier is around 1 hub diameter away from the obstruction, the airflow was improved. I decided to set a custom fan profile which wouldn’t spin over 50% until the temperature is hitting 70℃ in an attempt to keep the Argon Eon case as quiet as possible in normal operation. This is a NAS, plain and simple but unlike other NAS units, the Argon EON exudes an aesthetic that would be at home in The Expanse.

To be clear, you could absolutely use a 2GB version instead, I just happened to have a couple of boards available to pick from.

At 13, you start to see minor corruption; as you approach 1 the corruption gets worse until the OLED stops working altogether.

Looks like it's come Royal Mail Tracked 48, too, from an address in the UK - which with a bit of luck means no VAT to pay. I know that hardcore users will shout at me for using Raspberry Pi as a NAS but if I’m honest over nearly 5 years of storage, not a single bite was lost.I can now sleep more calmly knowing that my Argon Eon is less prone to micro SD card corruption and potential data loss.

port to connect to all 4 drives and the transfer speed will be limited to what the CPU can handle too. The microSD card and GPIO even have been routed out the back and is protected with a removable plate.Do yourself a favour and get the RTC battery (CR1220) as soon as you can as running Argon Eon without it, will cause a lot of NTP-related issues. GPIO users, yes you can use this case for projects but the sheer size and rather awkward access to the GPIO makes this far from ideal. Things are slightly different now, and to use Plex with your Argon Eon, you have to install docker from the Extra options in the OVM menu. Switching out /dev/sda for one of your hard drives that is spun down and post the full output from the command.
