TASTING NOTES: FIOL Prosecco Extra Dry has a light golden colour and displays a bouquet of wisteria flowers, acacia and the tangy sweetness of a mature crab apple.
The region is home to some of the most famous Italian wines, including Prosecco, Amarone, and Valpolicella. Overseen by wine expert Marzio Pol, with over 50 harvests of experience, FIOL guarantees exceptional quality and flavour. Unlike Champagne, where the secondary fermentation takes place in the bottle, the secondary fermentation of Prosecco usually takes place in large stainless steel tanks making it less expensive to produce. Approachable Prosecco with a touch of toast and a cascade of wisteria and acacia petals on the nose, followed by a mouthful of apples and lemons. Fiol Extra Dry NV Prosecco has a lemon colour with a bouquet reminiscent of wisteria flowers, acacia and ripe apple.It pairs beautifully with the flavours of modern international cuisine, as well as with traditional Italian dishes. The colour is a pale salmon-pink, and on the nose there are bright notes of red berries and a hint of fresh herbs. After soft pressing, the grapes are removed from skins and fermented with selected yeasts at a controlled temperature of 16-18°C. It’s too good to use for parties and BBQs, it deserves to be sipped and the flavour deserves to be savoured.
