Gengigel Gingival Gel has also been shown to reduce the number and duration of recurrent mouth ulcers. TePe Gingival Gel is recommended to patients with gingivitis, periodontitis, peri-implant mucositis and peri-implantitis, as part of their home care in addition to professional treatment.

Gengigel stays on the gum for around 30 minutes after application, so you should not eat or drink until at least 30 minutes after using this product. Gengigel provides active protection from gum disease and support for the natural healing of inflamed and damaged tissue in the mouth. Active ingredient: Hyaluronan 200mg acts as a barrier and repairs any damage the gums are submitted to. If you haven’t tried TePe Interdental Brushes before, please ask your dentist or hygienist what size(s) they would recommend. Other ingredients: Aqua, Xylitol, Cellulose Gum, Alcohol, PEG 40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, PVA, Polycarbophyl, Dichlorobenzyl Alcohol, Aroma (CITROMINT 1/074600), Sodium Hydroxide, Acid Blue 9 (CI 42090).

As the active ingredient in Gengigel Gingival Gel is not a drug or an antiseptic, it has no side effects or contraindictions. It should be used after meals and it is recommended that food and drinks are not consumed until at least half an hour after use. Some other gels contain sugar which is the last thing you want after brushing your teeth before going to bed.

Another way is to use the unique TePe cap as a bowl, simply pour the gel into the cap and dip the whole brush into the gel. On the negative side it does not contain an anaesthetic so is not as good as other gels for pain relief.

It reduces gum inflammation and bleeding and regenerates mucous membranes with dexpanthenol and allantoin. Chlorhexidine has an anti-plaque effect, while fluoride prevents cavities and protects the more sensitive root surface. These spaces conceal about 40% of the tooth surface so, without using floss or interdental brushes to clean these areas, they are the most likely place for gum disease and tooth decay to develop. People may be admitted to hospital or a care home environment where oral care may not be a high priority and is neglected.
