About this deal

It is revealed that the Shadowlord's true identity is the Gestalt form of the protagonist from the prologue; the protagonist the player has been controlling for the majority of the game is his Replicant. The character have unfortuatly been tainted a bit by centain fans of the games over the years , making them out to be something they are not in the game and for this reason I really hope the game is never updated or remade.

The most remarkable aspects of the game for me were the design of Niers' friends Emile and Kainé and the main bosses as well as the music score. Armed with a powerful set of magical abilities as well as mighty swords and armor, Nier will do battle alongside a set of formidable allies against waves of dark enemies and giant bosses to discover the truth about the disease, his daughter…and himself. NieR is undeniably a cult classic that is hidden under poor graphics and repetitive game play, if you can look past them you will be rewarded with emotionally-driven story and memorable characters that you will actually care about. The fetch and reward sidequest are really getting on player's nerves; lots of quests are just the same thing with different description/destination.Clements said that the combat had "a fair amount of satisfaction", though players should "not expect anything too extraordinary", and Kolan termed the combat as "moderately deep".
