About this deal

Scan Computers International Limited are authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (Register no. The power supply will only turn on if you connect it to a working motherboard and associated items (processor, memory, video card, etc).

For those of you who are not into the whole brevity thing, those of you who don’t skip right to the conclusion, you are about to witness some good stuff: Let’s start from the beginning and get it out of the box. SF Platinum Series power supplies come equipped with premium, individually sleeved cables featuring a flexible paracord sleeve, ready to fit right into your new high-end PC. Usually visible through the glass screen in the computer chassis, the left side is a giant billboard advertising the manufacturer and product name.We have tested multiple SFX power supply units before, but they have all been in the bigger SFX-L form factor. Often overlooked, it is the component that is likely to last the longest, and it can be moved between systems when you upgrade to the latest and greatest in the future. As expected, the PG signal was just right, and I neither experienced any coil whine nor any other kind of electrical noise. Here, we find the 100 percent modular interface, built with almost spectacular simplicity – the connectors all have a visibly allocated plug in a Tetris mastery level layout.

The charger follows the SFX form factor, which is a compact design suitable for small form factor systems. I also read the power consumption on the electric meter and calculate the efficiency of the PSU at different loads. Since its launch in 2015, the SFX-L form factor has garnered popular recognition and support among enthusiasts with its larger 120mm fan able to achieve better balance of power and quietness in small form factor PCs than what was possible with standard SFX. This induction is caused by equipment such as small electric motors, fans, fluorescent lighting ballasts and transformers such as those in PSUs.

Sometimes you eat the bar, and, well, sometimes the bar eats you, and this little SFX power supply unit has managed to set the bar overwhelmingly high from the get-go. The power supply unit rests safely beneath a thick layer of foam shielding it from all the dangers of the outside world. The capacitor is a 470µF powerhouse from Nippon – extremely compact and certified to operate at over 221°F/105°C. If you are interested in being “green” and saving the planet, you might like to read a short explanation of how our power supplies can save energy using Active PFC (Power Factor Correction), not to be confused with Power Conversion Efficiency which is also very good in most of our PSUs. Fully modular, individually-sleeved cables allow you to maximize space and improve airflow inside your PC whilst 105°C rated Japanese capacitors and premium electrical components ensure superior performance for years of stable and dependable operation.

As you can see above, there are 80 Plus, Bronze, Silver, Gold (these three are from 2008), Platinum (2009), and Titanium (2012) certificates. SF PLATINUM power supplies deliver power with over 92% efficiency to keep energy consumption, noise, temperatures, and your power bill low. However, the good news is that most of Quiet PC’s PSUs implement a system known as Active PFC which involves some clever electronics. PLUS PLATINUM CERTIFIEDThe SF750 Platinum delivers power at up to 92% efficiency, lowering energy consumption, noise, temperatures, and your power bill. This feature is not really necessary, as an increasing number of cases are now fitted with a power supply shroud (at least ATX-sized ones), but it’s still easier to manage cables this way.

It is not recommended to take the cover off any PC power supply for this reason unless you are absolutely confident of your own ability. No - the rated wattage of a power supply refers to the maximum amount of power it can deliver at full load, not how much power it uses. SF Platinum Series power supplies include an SFX-to-ATX power supply adapter bracket enabling installation into any ATX compatible case. Box Limited is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (registration number 726076) as a credit intermediary and not a lender, offering credit products provided by PayPal Credit.

PWM LOW NOISE COOLING FANUtilizing PWM instead of the standard DC voltage control, the SF750 Platinum keeps noise low and delivers precise fan speed. The Corsair SF750 is a charger for mobile devices with a total power output of 750 W, making it suitable for powering both PCs and servers. SF PLATINUM Series power supplies are built around an innovative new internal design which swaps wires for soldered PCBs, delivering superb performance, incredibly stable voltages and ultra-low ripple and electrical noise. The fully modular design of the SFX power supply means that during your build you can mount the PSU in the case first and then only connect the cables you need, making builds and upgrades easy with great looking results.
