About this deal

It contains double the quantity of botanicals used in the original Elephant Gin and shines a light on African buchu. Rich aroma of squeezed lime and grapefruit, with stewed fruits, cooked biscuits and roasted hazelnuts.

Whilst the Elephant London Dry Gin and Elephant Strength Gin share the same fourteen botanicals, including rare African ingredients, to create their distinctive flavour profiles, the latter uses twice the quantity of botanicals and has an ABV of 57%. Having met the people who dedicate their life to conservation is something that made me realise that we have a responsibility for the generations to come. Although produced in Germany, the gins are an extraordinary tribute to the continent of Africa: in addition to more classic herbs, roots and fruits, African botanicals such as cassis and lion's tail are used. If the gin had at least 57% ABV, then it surely survived the test and was proclaimed of navy strength. The result is a more powerful nose and taste - without losing the silky-smooth character that the Elephant London Dry Gin has become celebrated for. They strongly believe that this generation has a responsibility to support the African wildlife today, so others can continue to enjoy it in the future. But Elephant Gin makes the total at least one,15% of the profits from this spirit go to helping the preservation of wild African Elephant populations. At The Gin Stall we are proud to bring you some of the best gin infusions, bottles and flavours from around the world. Botanicals: 14 including juniper, devil's claw, buchu, baobab, lion's tail, wormwood, apple, pine needles, lavender, sweet orange peel, ginger, pimento berries, elderflower.

All of this combines to give Elephant Gin the romantic impression that it wouldn't look out of place on board the HMS Beagle. They're perfectly balanced, and the traditional copper pot still distillation method by which they become Elephant Gin brings out their individual flavours excellently. of bottle profits or 2% of revenue, whichever is larger, is donated to various projects protecting Elephants in the wild.

Legend has it that the bark of the fever tree was first used by the Spanish in the early 1630s where the healing properties of the tree were discovered. The gin is powerful (think elephant-powerful), intense and full-bodied, with a fresh aroma and a higher viscosity than the original; superb in cocktails, it’s equally perfect for recreating the African bush Sundowner experience and for bold adventures across urban plains. The Elephant gin’s nose shows a subtle juniper aroma, with an undertone of mountain pine and other herbaceous notes. In 2023, marking the 10th anniversary of the brand, Elephant Gin Distillery was opened in the small town of Wittenburg near Hamburg and is home to their Holstein Copper Pot stills as well as offering tours and tastings.

Macerated in the gin for several months, these wild berries add a richly rounded, lightly sweet and exquisitely fruity bouquet as well as a typical warm red colour to the spirit. They're joined by mountain pine, apple, orange peel, ginger, and a few more hushed-up botanicals that make Elephant Gin such a treat. In fact, it's actually helping them survive, as 15% of Elephant Gin's profits go to two African elephant foundations (Big Life and Space for Elephants) to support rangers who protect against poachers and run education projects in local communities. Elephant Strength is based on the award-winning Elephant London Dry Gin and with its 57% ABV, it is stronger and richer than the original. Each batch of Elephant Gin, comprised of just 800 bottles, is named after an elephant, living or dead, that was known personally to the conservationists.

The Elephant Gin botanicals are selected carefully, and sourced from all over the globe, including, of course, from Africa. The gin's distinct nose first yields a subtle juniper aroma, with an undertone of mountain pine and other herbaceous notes. The taste is complex but strikingly smooth, encompassing floral, fruity and spicy flavours, which can be enjoyed both straight or in a cocktail. This gin has a higher ABV of 57% and uses twice as many botanicals as the original Elephant London Dry Gin.Unsure what the future held, we decided to take action and make an impact to help protect the African elephant - even from afar. I suppose I thought great idea, great project to support and I like the bottle however, the gin has now become my favourite.
