Lightly sanded the body with fine emery cloth and used it for a few years swapping between bases with no problems, for the last 4 or 5 years it has been used exclusively in my table. This doesn't look refurbished just used and they took a quick inventory and through in what they thought was missing.

I noticed it sounded like the router was trying to adjust the RPM/speed and then would just turn off. Here are pictures of the base with the template guide and a short adapter for 1/2" solid carbide spiral up cut bit installed, in the "baseline" position and extended. I am not a hardcore woodworker, but routing is something that cannot be done by hand and the few times that I may use it you need the right equipment; it's value is immeasureable. This isn't possible with the routers featuring the dust collection and dust shields, because of the limit these place on plunge depth with multiple passes.I had this router and sold it because I would fight with it to get the motor in and out of the fixed base. Want the best of both worlds, then this kit is for you - It includes both the fixed-base and the plunge router. Some router are better suited for a router table and some have better features for hand held, fixed base and plunge capabilities. It has the power switch in the one knob and is very helpful for keeping balance when turning on the power. I'm going to test it with the new route base plate and if it still needs weight on the other side, I'll find some sort of weight to make it work.

I got the VS Milwaukee mainly because of the soft start and theirs is pretty nice compared to the Bosch.You can see two slots on the bottom black piece, with the 2nd one appearing a little wider which may fit the Festool rail. Very similar to the Bosch, in design, fit and finish not as good but OK, can't comment or durability or longevity.
