About this deal

This gives you: The handlebar mount itself, four additional spacers, a small hex wrench for adjustment, a baggie for the extra spacers, and a tiny paper manual. You will need to supply M3 socket head cap screws and inset lock nuts to attached this mount to the GoPro supplied bracket and thumbscrew. On top of offering our advice and guidance on the products listed that we personally use, know and have experience with, we understand pricing is a big part of making your decision too. Meaning that on some other mounts on the market, you’ve got two screws that allow for near limitless up/down sizing.

I purchased a GoPro Hero5 Session along with the new GoPro Handlebar/Seatpost/Pole Mount with the intention to mount it on my seat post under the saddlebag to capture rear facing video primarily for insurance purposes in case I get into an accident. We use cookies to personalise content and ads, to provide social media features and to analyse our traffic. I like to have my mount as close to the centerline as possible, and also I’d mount this first bolt resulting in the mount being flush (flat) with the ground. When you receive your bike, all you'll need to do is unpack it, attach the pedals, turn the handlebars and ride. In general I prefer to avoid my back wheel in the shot, since that just looks awkward (it looks cool if you get something like this wheel mount however).

What I really want to see is a mount for the Frame head tube so I don’t get that side to side movement that makes people sick. Second, I’ve found that on adjustable handlebar mounts the tendency is for them to ‘drift’ over time. But at the end of the day, you might just be wondering “What does Ray use when not testing new products? This means the cost is deducted from your salary as a non-cash benefit, so you save on tax and national insurance. Plus, if designed right (such as the new handlebar mount), you can still use it for other uses and get some pretty cool shots.

Our Mount fixes Action Cameras to the Axle of your Bike where it can record low down and intense footage in a number of different orientations. Also, in a triathlon race I’ll use the bolt and position the door in such a way that you can’t easily get the camera out without dorking with the bolt – which in turn increases the amount of time someone would require in transition to steal the GoPro.

In my case, I’m using the GoPro Frame case, which is my favorite as it allows me to avoid having more plastic/glass on the front. Do you use the bolt/screw that K-Edge provides (which requires a wrench), or is it cool to use one of the GoPro screws (with the built-in turning knob)?
