Ladies First – Interview with Men Hoi (13:46) – in this all-new interview with the actor/stunt choreographer begins with his origins at the Peking Opera School including making his first film at seven years old. After staging an outrageous jewellery heist in Tokyo, two thieves (Stuart Ong and Michiko Nishiwaki) travel to Hong Kong to trade their stolen goods.

Bruce Jensen on Jake Gyllenhaal goes full on Jackie Chan in the Trailer for Doug Liman’s ‘Road House’ also starring Conor McGregor Dare I say, for my taste, this looks better than the original? The action is impactful, bloody, and mean but always so quickly and smoothly edited to within an inch of its life you’re never quite sure of how bloody and mean it is in the moment. In his commentary on the disc, Frank Djeng believes this is to part IV’s detriment, but I actually preferred the more involving narrative here.Either way, Yen speaks about the Hong Kong action industry in general and working with Yuen Woo-ping, emphasizing In the Line of Duty IV , but including clips from Iron Monkey and Once Upon a Time in China II . If you’ve read some of my recent Hong Kong action reviews, you might have read a familiar lament about disjointed tones, where goofy comedy seems out of place against the brutality and violence. In the Line of Duty IV was the fourth of several beloved collaborations between Yen and another of Hong Kong action’s most important figures – director Yuen Woo-ping. His partner, Hiroshi Fujioka (played by Hiroshi Fujioka, though he’s not actually playing himself), is there when it happens and vows to get revenge. If I started changing things to suit what I think sounds better or what I think other people might prefer, where would I stop?

Do we dumb down insightful knowledge and settle for mediocrity just because someone gets the metoo stamp put on them? All movie titles, pictures, etc… are registered trademarks and/or copyrights of their respective holders and used under “Fair Use”. There, he discovers a CIA agent is involved in the organisation and manages to take a photo of the man. The mad scientists at 88 Films continue to impress and make it a banner 2023 for the Label in the US. In many ways, she and Yat-chor are the leads and Yen is along for the ride, despite the fact that he gets the coolest scene (a battle aboard dirt bikes) and is usually the biggest face on the video box.In the Line of Duty III opens in Japan, with criminal couple Genji Nakamura (Stuart Ong) and Michiko Nishiwaki (Michiko Nishiwaki) heading a brazen jewellery heist at a high-class fashion show, in which they massacre a large proportion of the audience. Besides, as often happens with Hong Kong films marketed overseas, even films loosely connected by cast and/or genre can be bundled as series. However, when it comes to subtitling (mere translation, timing the subs with the dialogue) this is where I'm seeing significant differences.

Alas, I can’t be as enthusiastic about the Cantonese audio, and once again I find myself lamenting the lack of a Home Video remix. He also shares stories about first discovering Michelle Yeoh and recounts some of the essential films he was involved with, including I Love Maria (aka Roboforce). And then all hell breaks loose, and the thieves pull out Uzis, firing indiscriminately into the crowd of police and audience alike, resulting in a slaughter. The arrival of the police saves Luk from the drug dealers but, with the innocent man found holding a gun, standing over Peter’s dead body, they assume he’s one of the criminals and take him into custody. KayKay on Jake Gyllenhaal goes full on Jackie Chan in the Trailer for Doug Liman’s ‘Road House’ also starring Conor McGregor Never seen the original? Various twists and turns make it clear who the real bad guys are though and, of course, our heroes get to face off with them in an epic showdown. Watch the Trailer for the Jordan Peele-produced ‘Monkey Man’ directed by and starring Dev Patel Someone's pissed that no one saw Polite Society.

The film is the introduction of Cynthia Khan not only as the new lead protagonist, following Michelle Yeoh, but her debut as an actress. But when someone is saying I should make something up because the actual translation doesn't look good, well, I won't do that. Early on the film really plays on the comedy side of things, especially with Yeung trying to make a difference as a police woman, but coming up against the daft bureaucracy of the department, and an uncle who wants to keep her away from all of the action. The film is evidence against a surly and easily amused gangster, and by a series of events, a pair of bumbling (but likable) crooks manage to obtain the evidence, and before long, they’re being chased by the gangster’s goons. He later moves on to his experiences working on In the Line of Duty IV though, which makes for interesting listening.

The Audio Commentary by Hong Kong Film Expert Frank Djeng begins with his bonafides and the various titles Royal Warriors went under around the world. Battling Babes Featurette (10:23) –this archival featurette looks at the various women in the Stunt world and their various experiences getting started and work done. The story of a Bonny and Clyde-like criminal duo on a race against time is perfectly suited for the fast-moving series. Interviews with Actor Cynthia Rothrock, Stunt Woman Sophie Crawford (who doubled Sarah Michelle Gellar on Buffy), Stunt Woman Michiko Nishikawa (who featured prominently in Lucky Stars), Stunt Woman Yukari Oshima, Stunt Woman Moony Lee (who featured in Mr. Was diesen aber von den anderen abhebt, sind zum einen die grandios choreographierten Kämpfe von Yuen-Woo Ping, der hier auch Regie führte, sowie das Talent von Hauptdarsteller Donnie Yen.
