About this deal

I’ve always managed with wool socks but think my tootsies would freeze if I was out longer than 2hours.

Short gaiters won’t cut it as the water wicks up and makes your trousers soggy so might as well not bother. Featuring glue and blind-stitch construction to prevent cold water flushing and help keep your feet warm, along with a comfortable seam layout designed to maximise comfort when sailing.Ask MetaFilter is a question and answer site that covers nearly any question on earth, where members help each other solve problems. On my, mostly April-May Caminos, I have walked with sodden feet in torrential downpours, as well as slogged through ankle-deep wet snow and mud. For rain, then over trousers and boots normally do, but if the going is rough or muddy the gaiters too.

mm neoprene, NRS socks are generally watertight for a while, but after several uses the seams begin to leak. I see the same is true for a lot of people on here, but I've had quite a few pairs of Sealskinz (and some cheapy Aldi equivalents) and don't think any of them weren't letting water at least a bit within 5 runs, let alone 5 years. Sealskinz and other brands retain their waterproofness for a handful of runs before the membrane breaks down and you end up with really heavy wet socks that still somehow hold ALL the water once its got inside. Easily compressible and made with our Waterproof fabric, its heat-sealed interior seams guarantee its waterproofness. A drysuit with attached feet is top notch for horrible cold and wet, but although a dry suit never leaks, it will gradually get damp inside if you’re working hard, and eventually even if you aren’t, limiting its use to really wet conditions below 55F.Anyhow, I am looking for suggestions for summer-weight socks that, in your experiences, feel more comfortable against your skin and dry fast.
