About this deal

We are the nerdiest of Harry Potter fans and our obsession with these magical worlds will never die. Oliver Wood, the old captain of Harry’s House Quidditch team, who had just left Hogwarts, dragged Harry over to his parents’ tent to introduce him, and told him excitedly that he had just been signed to the Puddlemere United reserve team. Despite this, Wood was remarkably humble concerning his own skill, putting the team's success down to the other members of the team. He spent the whole of breakfast urging the team to eat even though he didn’t touch any food himself, after which he brought the team down to the field and launched into the same speech she gave year after year. He would always get a maniacal look in his eyes when he started encouraging the Quidditch team or talking about Quidditch.

Flint told him that he had booked the pitch to train their new Seeker, whose father had purchased Nimbus 2001s for everyone, and they had to give up the pitch. Then, Wood begins talking about Harry and his perfect Seeker’s build as though Harry weren’t standing right there. Although he was fair-minded and approachable, Wood (which is an irony given his position as Captain of his team) appeared to struggle with interpersonal skills, as he often seemed oblivious to the way in which he came across to people. Oliver was portrayed by Sean Biggerstaff in the film adaptations of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2, although he did not match J.Owing to his quiet desperation, Oliver continued to hurry up to Harry Potter in between classes and give him tips on how to win the match for Gryffindor. This is inaccurate as in the World Cup in 1994, Viktor Krum caught the snitch, but Ireland won as they were ahead by more than 15 goals (150 points).

Despite his best efforts, however, word got out about Harry's presence, although his skill level was a secret from everyone outside the team. Professor McGonagall pointed them into a classroom that was empty except for Peeves, who was busy writing rude words on the blackboard. But, he's been at it for seven years and sure didn't want to graduate without winning the Quidditch Cup, which is understandable. During his first game he took a Bludger to the head two minutes in, and woke up a week later in the Hospital Wing. In Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2, Oliver can be seen leading an aerial attack on Death Eaters during the Battle of Hogwarts. When Harry is on his way out to the Forbidden Forest, after viewing the Prince's memories, Harry sees Oliver and Neville carrying the body of Colin Creevey back into the school from the grounds; Oliver tells Neville that he can handle it himself, Neville should head back out for another.
