LEGO will continue to add to the Helmet Collection, as these are fairly collectable, and LEGO Star Wars fans seem to generally like buying them, and with such a vast library, you can be assured that there’s many more helmets to come, so unless you want to, don’t treat it like an obligation to collect every single one, and instead just pic up the ones you like. CC-2224 "Cody" was a clone of Jango Fett, one of the early thousands engineered on Kamino to serve the Galactic Republic. During the Outer Rim Sieges in the late stages of the Clone Wars, [51] Cody fought alongside Rex and under Generals Anakin Skywalker and Mace Windu during Admiral Trench's campaign to take Anaxes's shipyards. However, after weeks of heated fighting, the Republic's grip on the planet began to falter. During this crisis, Cody was supportive of Rex's theory that the Separatist Droid Army had learned the Clone Captain's personal strategy. Rex shared this theory with Windu and Skywalker, and Cody noted his concern: with Rex being one of their best, the droids knowing how to defeat the Captain might make the rest of them vulnerable. Cody proposed that he and Rex take a small squad into Separatist lines to reach the Cyber Center, knowing that it relayed all battlefield intelligence to the Separatist command ship. The vibrant orange details demand the Star Wars helmet collection, drawing nice contrast to the sleek white base of the rest of the build. Arriving as set number 75350, this fits right in the middle of the new kits with 766 pieces. It assembles Commander Cody in his Phase I armor, complete with the more simplistic design that you’d expect from the Episode II aesthetic.The elegant fin on top corresponds with the source material though, integrated perfectly with the studded surface of the helmet. Moreover, I like the light bluish grey panels on the reverse, even though this colour is arguably too dark. Nonetheless, the shape is splendid and different colours only serve to highlight the details.
The helmet design gets a lot of things right, and I especially love the use of negative space for the eyes and face, followed by the layered plates for the harder angles to get that Clone look just right. Ideally, the mouth would extend further towards the edge too, but no wedge plates are available to create such acute angles. Also, there should be a vent underneath the orange decoration on Cody's chin. Fortunately though, his characteristic orange visor looks perfect and even includes an accurate trans-red tactical light on top.Here’s my Helmet collection that I have on display, and as you can see my space is beginning to fill up, but Commander Cody and Captain Rex both look splendid alongside some of the other Star Wars (and non-Star Wars) helmets. Cody then went with Kenobi to reclaim Kiros. There he received a message from Confederate commander, Darts D'Nar to discuss terms of surrender. Cody, Skywalker, and Tano then listened in on Kenobi's negotiations with D'Nar, claiming he planted bombs all over the city.
