About this deal

The fresh: Inside the shoe, there’s a plate that covers the cleat mounts and has six 3.5mm air holes in a circle in the area of the toe vents. Shining a light through the bottom with the insoles removed, only two holes were passing light in one shoe while 4 were passing light on the other shoe. The cutout process at the factory didn’t clear the cutout material. Using an air compressor and nozzle I was able to clear the obstructions. If new insoles are added by a wearer, they can use a hole punch to maintain airflow.

Please enclose all your details and a covering note explaining the fault and any other useful details.DMTs propriety knit technology is not only truly revolutionary, but features across their full range, all the way from the highest level down to their entry level models. This means it offers ALL cyclists for the first time, whatever their level of riding, a shoe that fits as comfortably as a glove! Whether it’s a jersey that doesn’t fit, or the colour is not quite right, sometimes you’ll need to return items to us. I have a wide foot (11cm at 28.5cm length, fits well) . I forget I have them on, the footbed works for me. It's a bit different from my other shoes as it is more like a chamois. I have a size 45, (sidi / gaerne in 46 for comparison. These are too long to fit my foot in width-wise). Would be able to use lake in wide, tried them but stopped after 3 pairs with manufacturing faults. The accessories: My KR3s came with a DMT branded carry bag, BOA screw removal tool, pair of screws for LOOK’s memory system, and a Diamant Safety IIR type disposable surgical mask sample with leaflet. Q36.5, i dont have the DMT's anymore. I did try several sizes of the DMT's before the actual riding with the best possible size. cant remember for sure but that was probably a 45 too.

For reference, I chose a size EU 45. My foot length is about 28-28.4cm. My width at widest point is 9.8cm with a circumference of 23.8cm. 70kg body weight, 180cm height. Used with Shimano 105 R7000 pedals and yellow cleats. The 3D knit construction of the DMT KM4 shoes is what stands them apart from others, with the flexibility in the upper translating to a high degree of comfort, which is continued in the sole, where there is enough flex to make walking comfortable. Huge airflow through the upper makes them perfect for warmer days but counts against them for cold or rainy days. They are priced among other high tier models, but none can match the amount of flexibility in the upper that the DMT KM4 offers, which alone will make the DMT KM4 shoes a perfect choice for some. With its full knit construction, DMT have created a very light shoe with great breathability that has just enough stretch to perfectly match your foot shape. Full Engineered Knit upper combined with the BOA Fit System and DMT’s aerated carbon outsole make this a race ready shoe that you will barely feel on your feet. The DMT KR3 shoes combine Italian design with a high-performance and flexible full engineered knit upper construction.

The sole stiffness: The KR3 is in the middle of DMT’s stiffness range, so this carbon outsole is the next level up from the KR4 and KT4. I can get slight flex while walking on concrete and bearing my weight on one foot, but not while riding. It could be the cleat. The KR3's soles are very rigid. With its full knit construction, DMT have created a very light shoe with great breathability that has just enough stretch to perfectly match your foot shape. Full Engineered Knit upper combined with the BOA Fit System and DMTs aerated carbon outsole make this a race ready shoe that you will barely feel on your feet. There *were* pressure points around the upper/inner part of the insteps in both shoes (just next to the SH1 logos), and I felt some friction in the heel retention rubber inserts too. I was a bit upset initially thanks to these, and it thus took me a bit to get used to the shoes. But after just a few rides (and in my case some rain which might have helped soften the microfiber a little bit), these were completely gone. Cycling shoes can also vary wildly in fit (we’ve got a guide to wide cycling shoes) and intended use. It would be easy to throw lots of money at the problem and end up with a set of shoes that don’t suit your unique foot shape or riding style. The Boa dial is a popular closing mechanism for cycling shoes, alongside the more classic Velcro. David Caudery / Immediate Media
