Ultra Magnus came through the Space bridge after Galvatron. Ultra Magnus stated he was hunting for him, because he had accidentally been placed into the wrong timeframe. Melody Keen grew fond of Magnus really fast saying that he was in human terminology "Really buff". Most notably in terms of new tooling, the panels on the undersides of Powermaster Optimus Prime's forearms feature slots under the fists, which allow the guns to tab in and be held much more stably than with Ultra Magnus. And due to the amount of empty space in the cab area in vehicle mode, Powermaster Prime can fully transform without the need to remove his head. Unfortunately, the mission to Diadem turned into a battle with both Decepticons and Quintessons, and much of the installation's data was lost due to the damage. Cordon's memories were recovered (although the trooper ultimately declined to install them), but more notably, the Autobots also discovered a robot named " Spin-Out" in stasis. Diadem's records revealed that Spin-Out was originally a piloted battle machine built to fight " Waruders" on the Earth of a different dimension; the facility's Anterior Zeta computer system had recovered the mech from a crashed spacecraft 10 million years ago and elevated it into a living Transformer using Vector Sigma programming. While Delta Magnus questioned Anterior Zeta's subsequent decision to secretly disseminate a genetic imperative to fight the Waruders throughout the Cybertronian repair network, he agreed with the computer-brain that the threat posed by the faction was well worth preparing against. As the sword accessory is designed for this mold's open hands, it cannot be wielded by other figures with 5mm hands due to the protruding peg, which is meant to be mounted onto the trailer or the cab for storage. If you're feeling risky, the tab can be trimmed off, which also permanently loses its storage ability. Ultra Magnus was appointed Commander of Autobot City some time before 2005. During the Battle of Autobot City, he could not prevent many of his troops and the reinforcements being slaughtered, including Optimus Prime. Still, honoring Ultra Magnus for his efforts, Optimus handed him the Matrix of Leadership and command of the Autobots. The Matrix had other ideas though, choosing Rodimus Prime as its bearer instead. Ultra Magnus from Dreamwave Productions' 21st-century re-imagining of the Generation One universe took the opportunity to indulge two contentious aspects of Ultra Magnus previously resigned to fan speculation: here, he was revealed to be Optimus Prime's "brother" in the Dreamwave continuity, and also hinted to be Dion, a childhood friend of Optimus Prime from the animated series, due to the name of a strike force he led.Collaborative Ghostbusters x Transformers Masterpiece MP-10G Optimus Prime Ecto-35 Edition (whew!) is a Ghostbusters-themed redeco of the MP-10 Convoy/Optimus Prime mold. The toy for this version of Ultra Magnus is a white recolor of the Armada Deluxe Optimus Prime and Over-Run toy. There was an error in the assembly of the toy where the lower parts of his arms were swapped with each other, meaning he could not bend his arms up at the elbows fully unless they are fixed. If Ultra Magnus decided on the third plan, the Autobots were unable to retrieve the sphere in time, and it was destroyed by the Decepticons, who had finally reached the California coast. Without the formula contained within the sphere, the Autobots would be forced to continue their war at a disadvantage, if they survived the current Decepticon onslaught currently raining down upon them. The 25th-anniversary gum toy is not a reissue of the original 1985 toy; instead, it appears to be based on the Titanium design. Movie Preview Version Ultra Magnus was available exclusively at Toy Festival 2001, held on February 26, 2001 in Tokyo, Japan, limited to 1,500 pieces. The U.K. Transformers continuity records that Magnus and the other future Autobots returned find to their own time-stream changed to a different, darker future, where Galvatron was alive and ruling most of Cybertron. After a stint on Earth assisting the Autobots in the wake of the Surge, and the defeat of D-Void and the Decepticons, Ultra Magnus accompanied Rodimus and crew aboard the Lost Light on their quest to find the Knights of Cybertron, serving as Rodimus's second-in-command. After a near-fatal encounter with Overlord and an automated return to a now-insane Tyrest, Ambus's true identity was revealed to the crew. Although he gave up his role as the Duly Appointed Enforcer of the Tyrest Accord to Fortress Maximus, he continues to wear his armor—because regardless of who he might be underneath it, to his friends and crewmates, he is still, and has always been, the Ultra Magnus.
