About this deal

Who it's for: Folks who want a flip phone with a fun and whimsical design that also offers a clean and versatile software experience and are willing to make a few trade-offs on the camera side to get it. All in all, the LG Wine Smart is a curious blend of old and new, and you might wonder who it’s meant for. LG says that the Wine Smart is “designed especially for a generation of users who are more accustomed to the feel of flip,” but we’d suggest it’s not a generational thing at all. However, LG has just announced a new flip phone to an international audience. The LG Wine Smart (which was previously launched as the LG Gentle in South Korea) combines modern smartphone features with a decade-old clamshell aesthetic. Motorola has also pulled out all the stops in giving the Razr Plus an incredible cover screen experience, putting in a 3.6-inch pOLED HDR10+ display with a 1066 x 1056-pixel resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. That's enough to watch movies and play games if you're willing to squint a bit, and unlike Samsung's Z Fip 5 cover screen, Motorola lets you run any Android app on it without the need to jump through complicated hoops. It's the best cover screen you can get in a foldable right now in size, quality, and versatility.

Navigating around the interface is pretty responsive, although it can take an extra second or two for content to load once you've opened a feature (like the photo gallery). Why you should buy this: An excellent cover screen, top-notch performance, and a collection of vivid colors make this a solid choice for those who prefer an alternative to the world of Samsung devices. We’re expecting to see the LG Wine Smart retail for an extremely wallet-friendly price when it launches later in August. LG is releasing the phone across a disparate spread of “target countries,” including France, Italy, Poland, Spain, Kazakhstan and Japan. LG ENVOY™ III.Available with or without a camera, this compact flip phoneoffers user-friendly features combined with all the powerful performance you need in a mobile phone. Featuring a streamlined design and easy-to-view inner and outer display, the ENVOY™ offers a 1.3 MP camera with dedicated key, full depth menu readouts and a preloaded hearing assist mode that automatically adjusts in noisy environments for better audio clarity. On the inside, you get a 6.7-inch AMOLED 2X display with a resolution of 2640 x 1080 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate that's brighter than ever, so you'll have no problem seeing it outdoors. However, you won't need to worry about that nearly as often since the Z Flip 5 now boasts an expansive 3.4-inch Super AMOLED 720 x 748-pixel cover screen that can show you almost everything you'll need to see at a glance. It's so big, in fact, that you can run full Android apps on the Flip 5 cover screen ... after a bit of tweaking, that is. Inside, the look is a bit more typical. It has a large screen covering much of the top half, and a keypad and navigation buttons take up much of the bottom. The number buttons are large and easy to press, plus there's a circular directional pad above with a large Select button in the middle. The LG Exalt LTE also has dedicated buttons for enabling voice commands and activating speakerphone functionality during a call.

Why we chose the Galaxy Z Flip 5: Samsung has been hitting it out of the park with its Galaxy Z Flip series, and this year's Flip 5 takes everything that was great about its predecessor and makes it even better, refining the design and user experience in small but meaningful ways. While those games aren't available yet, there's no shortage of great games to play. But when the App Store has over a million apps, how are you supposed to find the best games to play? Don't worry -- we're here to help! Since there are a ton of games out there — and not every game is a winner — it's definitely hard to find games that are worth your time and energy. Whether you're looking for a simple match 3, an MMORPG, a dungeon crawler, or even something to just relax with, here are the best iPhone games you can play right now. Flip open the Razr Plus and you'll find a 6.9-inch pOLED display with a resolution of 2640 x 1080 pixels, 1,400 nits of peak brightness, HDR10+ support, and an impressive 165Hz refresh rate. Plus, while middle-of-the-screen creases are an inevitable price to pay in foldable smartphones right now, Motorola has somehow done a great job in making the Razr Plus crease much less noticeable than the competition. The Wine Smart seems to be intended for those hold-outs still stubbornly using their old clamshell feature phones. Those who have never made the switch to one of these newfangled smartphones with their unnatural hingeless designs. Like many Android smartphones, the LG Exalt LTE has a Qualcomm processor within—but this quad-core Snapdragon 210 is at the bottom end of speed and sheer processing ability, which makes sense given the phone's relatively basic functionality. Why you should buy this: It's simply the most affordable foldable smartphone on the market, with an expansive and vibrant inside screen, solid performance, and a great selection of fun colors that are all available in tactile vegan leather that feels great in the hand. Call quality is thankfully strong due to Verizon's 4G LTE network and its HD Voice functionality. The phone also supports Wi-Fi calling, in case you're without cellular reception. The speakerphone sounds pretty clear on the LG Exalt LTE, but unfortunately doesn't get very loud. Also, a caller on the other line said that the voice quality wasn't as clear when we had speakerphone engaged.

Not surprisingly, Motorola has cut a few corners to get here, but it's managed to cut mostly the right ones. Fans of the company's iconic Razr design may lament the new look, but it reflects a move in a more modern direction. It brings over most of what's great about its pricier sibling and even adds a few nice twists of its own. For instance, you get four fun colors to choose from, all of which come in the grippy vegan leather finish that's only found in the Viva Magenta Razr Plus. These are lower than low-end specs for a new mid-2015 device. Yet the LG Wine Smart still runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop, and it still has 4G LTE network connectivity.Who it's for: This phone is designed for and directly appeals to older folks who may need medical services and those who are not technical. All battery life claims are approximate and based on the median user tested across a mixed use profile (which includes both usage and standby time) under optimal network conditions. Actual battery performance will vary and depends on many factors including signal strength, network and device settings, temperature, battery condition, and usage patterns Who it's for: Folks who want an affordable and compact flip phone with a fun design and a full array of smartphone features. When you have the best iPhone, you pretty much have infinite possibilities for keepingbusy and entertained, no matter where you are. Sure, the iPhone may not be marketed as a gaming phone specifically, but it's pretty powerful — especially with the A17 Pro in the latest iPhone 15 Pro. That new processor means the Apple mobile gaming experience is only getting better and better, with Apple's new chip being able to play console-level games like Assassin's Creed Mirage and the Resident Evil 4 remake.

Water-repellent design creates a barrier to help protect against moderate exposure to water, such as accidental spills, splashes or light rain. Not designed to be submersed in water, or exposed to pressurised water, or other liquids; may diminish over time. Not waterproof Unfortunately, the Razr Plus falls down a bit it in the camera department. While the camera specs are impressive on paper — you get a 12MP primary and 13MP ultrawide duo on the outside and 32MP selfie on the inside — the results you'll get aren't nearly as consistent as other smartphones in its class, proving the megapixels aren't everything.

LG Flip Phones

The LG Exalt LTE has a rather large screen for a flip phone at three inches diagonal. It boasts a 400 x 240 resolution (155 pixels per inch) and a TFT LCD. Text and graphics look fuzzy plus there's a bit of blurriness to everything, and while the viewing angles aren't great, they're much better than the rival Alcatel Go Flip.
