About this deal

Believing that such a war-like ruler was unsuitable to rule in a time of peace, the council elected Bel Shanaar, Prince of Tiranoc instead. On the surface, Malekith took the decision well; [6a] he even silenced the public outcry from his mother and his homeland. Instead, he declared that he would strike out on his own, winning glories and wealth for all of Ulthuan. At the least, he would make the Elven Empire greater and more powerful than it had ever been; at best, he would prove his worth as the future Phoenix King, in any age, beyond all doubt. Presented with this opportunity, Morathi hatches a plan. She meets with the God-King Sigmar in Azyr, and proposes an expedition into Archaons domain to remove the Varanite and scuttle the extraction operation. Sigmar, ever suspicious of the High-Oracle, reluctantly agrees as the risk of a Chaos invasion of Azyr is just too great. [8a]

Vatheira Seris, Melusai Ironscale, Hagg Nar: Merciless and bloodthirsty commander of the Hagg Nar infantry. [1] However, it was then revealed that Aenarion's children by his first wife, who had been believed slain by Warrior of Chaos, were in fact alive. Yvraine would become the new Everqueen. This created a huge problem for Malekith's ambitions as the Everqueen (his own half-sister) and the future Phoenix King would have to conceive a daughter. The Council of Princes believed Malekith was too much like his father (he was short-tempered and preferred to resolve disputes with violence); they also feared the influence Morathi wielded over her son, as she had wielded it over Aenarion, and wished to restrict it. The additional round of blood rites is huge, especially since they lost their 5+ Ward artefact, you want to get to that Round 5 bonus as fast as possible. Draichi Ganeth Once transformed into her monstrous self, it takes time for Morathi's rage to subside: hours, even days, may pass before she can reassume her aelf-queen aspect. So great was her anger during the Blood Strife Wars that she remained in her Shadow Queen form for months. Another Daughters of Khaine book already? Of all the factions to launch it certain is a strange choice, given they got one of the penultimate books to send off second ed. That was just barely over a year ago, by the way.

Teclis

For the longest time, the Scáthborn were hidden from the Mortal Realms. Their strange form either hidden away in dark temples, or obscured by powerful shadow magic. Many outsiders thought of them as ordinary, but disturbingly devout aelves. But since her ascension, Morathi has been much more willing to show her Scáthborn for all to see. Proclaiming them heralds of a new age, and proof of Khaine's return. [2b] Most sects treat them as their elite warriors, outranking most of their unchanged khainite sisters. Most revered of them all are the members of Morathi's own honour guard, the vaunted Vyperic Guard. [2f] [4a] Tall, lithe, and strong, a wanderer who had travelled the length and breadth of the world, Aenarion returned to Ulthuan in its time of need. Realizing that the pitiful weapons of the Elves could not stand against the unfurled fury of Chaos, he battled his way through the land to the Shrine of Asuryan and there pleaded with the Creator God to aid his people. If the god heard, he gave no sign. He burned offerings, and the god did not respond. He sacrificed a white lamb. No aid came. [4a] [6] [7a] why not play on normal for a while till you are fammiliar with mechanics/strategies and then work your way up in difficulty. The Kharadron Overlords and Fyreslayers have been getting along better – the return of a mythic figure,a beacon of hope for all duardin. The cruel Daughters of Khaine and bitter Idoneth Deepkin also formed a fragile truce of mutual benefit, united in being cast away by Teclis as failed experiments. Cities of Sigmar: Armies of Misthåvn and Har Kuron, battalion allowing the fielding of Drusa Kraeth. [1]

Malekith later returned to Ulthuan after his expedition, and took charge of purging the cults existence from Ulthuan forever. Morathi's position as leader of the pleasure cults was eventually exposed when Malekith captured one of the cults bases at Ealith (Though she escaped by the use of her sorcery). She fled to the city of Anlec where a large number of cultists resided. Malekith led an army, consisting of both his own army and the supporting armies led by the princes of Ellyrion, Yvresse, Chrace and Saphery. Malekith was successful in breaching the cities defences and confronted his mother in the cities palace. Though Morathi had the upper hand with her great sorcerous powers, she was defeated. Morathi was spared from certain death by convincing her son that she would give him her full support of the cults and help him gain the Phoenix throne.

Malekith is the son of the legendary Aenarion and his second wife Morathi. He was born and raised in Nagarythe, and many believe that his childhood traumatised him as his father's court was a bitter and savage place. Blood sports, hunting and duels were common in the dangerous court of the Phoenix King with many of the finest warriors gathered there to fight the Daemons that plagued the lands. His mother taught him diplomacy, staecraft and sorcery and his father the arts of war and how to lead and command warriors in battle. [6a] Taking advantage of her weakness, Malerion took the Shadowlands and the capital of Druchiroth for himself, the last which they had create together, granting her only rule over the centre of the Umbral Veil – a dark and almost impenetrable part of the realm. Few could enter that land and retain their sanity, none had returned, yet there she founded an aelven witch cult and together they built Hagg Nar a temple-settlement dedicated to Khaine. Betrayed and despondent, Morathi waited for an opportunity, constantly looking for ways to regain power. [2] [5a] In Aenarion's eyes, Morathi had studied the ways of their Daemonic enemies for a very long time, and, he suspected, far too closely. There were times when he was not sure where her true loyalties lay. He only knew that she looked at him, as he looked at her, with a mixture of lust, respect, hatred and anger. [5a] Blood Sisters and Blood Stalkers are both Battleline in this sub faction as well. They also become Battleline under a Melusai General, but it means you don’t have to take a Melusai as your general if you don’t want to. Credit: Dan Richardson Command Traits Morathi is a figure from the World-that-Was and even in that world she was ancient, a devious queen who played a critical role in the Sundering which in turn shaped the entire history of the elven race in that world. [1] Age of Myth

Blood Sisters: Powerful warriors that can turn their enemies into unmoving crystal statues with a single touch. [2b] Addáiòs • Aesha • Anath • Athaerti • Drakira • Erek • Estreuth • Isha • Khaine • Kurnoth • Ladriella • Lileath • Mathlann • Morai-Heg • Néthu • Thial The reign of Aenarion began in a time of terror and strife. The nightmare creations of Chaos swept across the land. The Polar Gates, once used by the star-walking Old Ones to step from world to world, had collapsed, unleashing a roiling tide of magical energy across the world. In the magic's wake came the daemonic legions of the Chaos Gods, who sought to claim the mortal world for their own. [1a] So both the God-King and Morathi muster their forces, assembling a host larger than anything seen since the Realmgate Wars. Determined to achieve their goal, bringing Morathi to Varanthax's Maw and taking the Varanite from the forces of Chaos. Warriors from multiple Khainite temples and Stormhosts marched into the Eightpoints using the Ghyran Arcway, the Genesis Gate. The first assault shmashed trough the chaos fortifications without much resistance. [8a] Quotes Thus will the Dark King fall, slain by neither blade nor arrow but by a sorcerous power of darkest magic and so shall his body be consumed in the flames and for all eternity burn.

Tyrion

Slaanesh, the Dark Prince: Chaos God of hedonism and excess, currently imprisoned in the twilight realm of Uhl-Ghysh. [1] Last but not least, while the rest of Death was getting into all sorts of trouble, the Soulblight Vampires were busy taking advantage of power vacuums . Their independence from Nagash does them credit, and now their grave-empires are rising up all across the realms. Grand Alliance: Chaos She searched for signs of Khaine and finally discovered the location of his iron heart - guarded by the godbeast Kharybtar, she proceeded to seduce the creature and steal the heart. It awoke however and fell upon her and they fought for thirteen days before she overcame it, drinking in the energies of the artefact. [5d] Excelsis had already been weakened, undermined by the perfidious skaven and cults of Slaaneshi worshippers before the armies of Destruction arrived. Kragnos rallied the Moonclan Grots under Skragrott and orruks of the mighty warboss Gordrakk. After being suitably impressed with his might, even the towering Sons of Behemat agreed to march with the Earthquake God. Indraugnir was mighty even as dragons measure strength, but even he was weary by the time he bore Aenarion to his destination. Before plunging into the maelstrom, Indraugnir gave his own warning, counselling Aenarion he would have no peace in this life or the next, should he follow through with his plan. Only upon hearing the words of the millennia-old dragon did Aenarion pause, but even this did not dissuade him. [1a] [4a] [5a] [6]

I think the most important overall point to make is that everything here is notably more expensive. Here or there Leaders Atop one of the floating islands, Aenarion fought The Keeper of Secrets, N'kari. Its terrible grasp could not cut Aenarion's armour, but the pressure was too much for any mortal to bear. Aenarion's ribs snapped like twigs under the awesome stress. The pain would have killed a lesser being, but Aenarion had passed through the fire of Asuryan and agony could not slow him. The Elven god-king reversed his grip on the blade, and drove it through the Daemon's chest. In Aenarion’s hand the Sword of Khaine dripped smoldering blood and the daemonic blade took on a life of its own. It whispered terrible threats and promises into his mind. Having drunk the Daemons' souls, it filled Aenarion with new strength. [1a] [2a] [4a] [5a] [7a] After Aenarion returned the Sword of Khaine to its altar on the Blighted Isle after the end of the Great Catastrophe, Morathi looked everywhere for him and on numerous occasions, but to no avail. Stormcast Eternals

There are 6 different Temples to choose from for your army, each of which will change which units you want to take and some change what units you get as a Battleline as well. Hagg Nar Following the defeats of Malekith's armies by Tethlis and concerned about her son withdrawing from the world, Morathi instigated a rebellion in the city of Har Kaldra which, as she had hoped, drew his wrath. A year later she discovered that Allisara was returning to her husband's side, unwilling to allow a rival, she secretly deceived Prince Valedor of Ulthuan and ensured he led an army to confront Allisara and her escorts, slaying them all. Morathi broke the news of his wife’s death to her son. [5a] With Caledor Dragontamer intent on performing the ritual, Aenarion was left with no choice. He assembled his forces and moved to defend the mages on the Isle of the Dead. At the centre of Ulthuan the two forces met. Dragons so numerous that their wings darkened the sky descended on the Chaos Host. On land and sea total war was fought between Elf and daemonic minion. The death agonies of monsters filled the sea with foam. Dragons plummeted earthward, killed by fatal spells. As the creation of the vortex began, the seas churned and a terrible wind blew from the north. The skies darkened and lightning bolts lashed the tortured earth. [1a] [4a] [5a] The Mortal Realms will never be the same again. In Broken Realms: Morathi, a new era begins for Warhammer Age of Sigmar, bringing with it seismic shifts in the status quo, epic stories, and new rules for your army however you prefer to play. Part narrative supplement, part rulebook, this first Broken Realms book allows you to immerse yourself in the Mortal Realms fiercest conflict yet. [1] Contents Dramatis Personae Last to fall was the raging, gore-clad Bloodthirster, Hargrim Dreadaxe. Though with a last swing of its hell-forged axe it dealt Indraugnir a fatal blow, and broke Aenarion's arm, against the Sword of Khaine it could not stand. Aenarion carved it in two.
