About this deal

In The Summer of You we follow Wataru Toda and “hot guy” Chiharu Saeki, who coincidentally is also a bit aloof and very outspokenly romantic towards Wataru. Kodansha Comics began publishing the manga digitally on March 24. Junko launched the manga in Kodansha's Bessatsu Friend magazine in June 2019. I liked seeing glimpses of their separate lives and the time they spend with their friends. It's a healthy balance, with absolutely no drama about possessiveness, sudden romantic rivals, or unnecessary bursts of jealousy - they care about each other, and they're confident and secure in their relationship. Kind of a unique thing to see in this genre, really. If I have any real complaints it's simply that the book could have taken its time more. Drawing things out would have really worked for this particular story, and I'm sorry that it wasn't done. There is, however, a second volume slated for July. I'm looking forward to seeing what it does to further develop their relationship. Synopsis: At her high school reunion, a woman reminisces about the shallow girl she was in high school and her absent first love, who taught her so much...

I got say while I loved the first one, this volume is a bit of a disappointment. Wataru and Saeki are in college now, and Wataru (it's mostly Wataru's perspective) considers them to be dating/in a relationship, and yet... they're still like, Oh, I couldn't possibly tell him my feelings, and he couldn't possibly be attracted to me, and Wataru's surprised when he learns one of Saeki's (career?) interests. La historia se lee en una sentada, se te pasa el tiempo rapidísimo y realmente es una historia super fresca y muy tierna! Lo recomiendo muchísimo. There are lots of blushing and doki doki scenes. There's tons of my favourite thing: hand-holding. They kiss and confess their love. It's just adorable. My favourite moment was the moment just before it turns into a yaoi. It totally doesn't, it stays fully wholesome but there's one moment that heavily hints at what could have been which is fun because it triggers your imagination without ruining the vibe of the manga. I need more summers with them. I feel like it doesn't end there. Nagisa is right, the story is still rolling even after end credits. I believe that there's still another volume coming. I just want to see the side of Wataru that is fighting for their relationship. I want to see him grow as a man in love. I think I want to see a more vivid and undeniable panel that would scream at me like: here's your freaking dinner, devour it at once!Kodansha Comics and Vertical announced new manga licenses and releases during the Kodansha Live presentation on Wednesday. Kodansha Comics licensed these new titles: PS: This is everything, but MAL needs more text and I have nothing left to give, so I will be wirting "Harleys in Hawaii" from Katy Perry, enjoy and stream This is a very mellow shounen-ai that makes for easy reading. While I wasn’t all that taken by the mangaka’s art style (something about the faces didn’t vibe with moi) I’m sure many other readers will fall in love with it. I liked the slow-burn friends-to-lovers dynamic between Wataru and Chiharu; however, I could have done without the ‘past meeting’ storyline. It was obvious and rather contrived. Edit: oops parece que si tiene continuación. 😱 Aunque no tenga tanta buenas reseñas seguramente lo lea.

Those are the kinds of moments that keep this volume feeling fresh and as wonderful as the first one. This was still sweet and lovely and had a lot of great points; it just didn't quite live up to the quality of the first volume, and it's oddly slow-paced and kind of anticlimactic. Not that it's bad to have a story where nothing in particular happens...I'm glad to be spending more time with these characters and seeing more of their lives together. I really do enjoy indulging in those quiet, everyday scenes. But it strikes me as odd that they've been dating for what....a year and a half? Two years...? And still barely even kiss. Nov 24 Another Eden: The Cat Beyond Time and Space Releases an Update Featuring a New Episode 'The Cliffs of Wyrmrest (Wryz Saga I)' on November 24Overall, I would highly recommend this manga especially if you're into Slice of Life because it's so much more calming just to bask in the cuteness of their relationship without worrying about any calamities that might happen. Saeki is "cool as a cucumber" all the time (Wataru's words), displays barely any emotions except his love for Wataru; and Wataru is mostly happy, except when it comes to being lovey-dovey, then he completely freezes up. I totally get being nervous and I also get Saeki for wanting to do it, but the unbalanced energies really mess it all up. He also has an unintentional sarcastic streak, for instance responding to the main character in the following manner:
