About this deal

The powers make no sense to me. It´s like they all have cool things but there is no reasoning or system behind it. Just your average mutants with random cool stuff. At this point, you know how to get stronger, and what challenges lie in store for you. Can you overcome them? SHATTERED VOWS is a story of grief and loss, friendships and love, struggle and battling demons from the past. The premise is intriguing and engaging; the characters are colourful, charismatic and spirited; the romance is captivating and seductive. SHATTERED VOWS is a sexy, sensitive and edgy story of second chances and HEA. This is the first in a series, with book 3 coming out in February 2023. While it is a romance read, it is not spicy. It is very slow burn and the only sexy scene occurs much later towards the end of the book. I am not usually a bully romance reader. I tend to stay away from them as much as possible, because I am just not a fan. I will say, I did still enjoy this book. I had hoped for something a little more grander than the incident that kind of set everyone straight again. I thought Jacob's treatment of Riva for majority of the book was too much and felt forced. Even with this, I still enjoyed the book. I really liked Riva's character. She was very strong and put up with a lot of shit from these guys without ever faltering. The one sex scene that occurs was okay, I wouldn't say it was the spiciest I have ever read, but was written well. I wish there was a little more information on the "marking" that happened, but maybe it comes in a later book, since at that point in the story, the characters still did not know what they truly were.

Jase is this wonderful man who desperately wants his shot with the woman he has secretly loved for years. It's not the way she looks (which he loves), it's her personality that has drawn him in. The way she can light up a room with her smile. The way she laughs. The gleam she gets in her eye when she's gearing up to verbally take someone on. He loves her for her and despite his best efforts, his need to let her know how he feels it leaking out and making her shy away. I liked the way the story was set up, and that we got to see the group before and after the moment that everything went to hell. Although the guys version of events differ from Riva’s, it made it easier to understand their actions. When she is not writing her novels she can usually be found spending time with Doc G her husband and their wild golden retriever Gray Gray. She has been known to drink too much coffee and eat a lot of candy. It ends in a cliffhanger (thank god it’s only another month for the next one) that I’m excited to see how it goes. I hope they all grovel at her feet forever imo. You cannot expect me to have a friends-to-enemies-to-lovers reverse harem and expect me to be okay. I am not okay. What I am is in dire need of the sequel!

Rose published “Inevitable” her debut novel in 2020 and has since then become quite the author with more than half a dozen works to her name across several series of novels. This book felt like the tip of the iceberg to the series. Like the plot and idea of the book is good, but I know it can be better.Note: Our suggestions on which are easiest to complete will be marked by an asterisk* for when you do not have to complete all of them. Chapter 1 But she is now flying to the small town he calls home on her stilettos from the city just for him. She believes spending a month with the man while filming should be easy enough since she had been his personal assistant for years.

I usually like enemies to lovers and the whole bully romance kinda thing but this wasn´t it. Not even close. Eva Chase has done it again! I predict the Shadowblood Souls series to be another of her hits. I devoured this first book in the series, Shattered Vow, in less than a day. It had so many of my favorite romance tropes, and Eva Chance does them so well. Welcome to Shh... [Smut, Heroes & HEAs], a reader group dedicated to contemporary Romance & Erotica. But given that their tumble in the sheets had failed to make any dent in her attitude he knows his work is cut out for him. She is so naive and too peppy that it is dangerous. Okay, first off, this book was bloody adorable!!! Who says a book with a hot shirtless man on the front has to be a horrible, trashy read with poor grammar and no plot? This book is everything that that last book I read wasn't. It was a story with a plot and with purpose, not just a thinly veiled sex infested. It has substance. It's about discovering and building a relationship that will stand the tests of time. This book was what my soul needed. Just a sweet story of two people finding their way to happiness together after over coming self imposed hurdles and an unknown threat. After all, a little suspense and an action scene or two never hurt anyone, right?

She vows that she is done with him and will never fall for him again. Jax had lost himself to her the day he had saved her. Aubrey Whitfield was to be nothing more than the younger sister of his best friend. What I loved most was the friends-to-enemies-to-lovers component. They are a group of best friends who, through a fatal event and lies, have been separated for years. When they rejoin, the bonds of friendship cannot survive the hurt, and the boys turn against the FMC in anger, believing the lies they’ve been told over the truth she brings. Because she still loves them, she puts up with their behavior, but for how long? SHATTERED VOW is my first book by Eva Chase, but it definitely won’t be the last! If you’re a fan of X-Men but also can’t get enough of romance, I highly recommend this book, and also find it perfect for both veterans and newbies to reverse harem thanks to its slow-burn/forced proximity dynamic. He draws her into a complex dream in which she has to find a way to forget when she ultimately has to return home.

But the bad was pretty bad, we are talking poisoning the fmc (I mean they are superhuman) and healing her when it gets too bad to prevent her from escaping. The story itself is pretty good, but I did want the fmc to be a little more aggressive with the men, in terms of her just letting them get away with soo much. This is book three in a series and while the story continues from the second book, there is plenty of explanation if you have not read any of the previous books or need a refresher since reading the previous books. This book starts off promising with the fmc being badass and the rest of the book is her being pathetic. Shain Rose is a new adult and contemporary romance novelist who loves to say that she fights for love one word at a time.
