About this deal

About the Fragrance: Making its debut in 2012, Spicebomb Eau de Toilette is Viktor & Rolf’s masculine ode to the iconic Flowerbomb fragrance for women. Crafted by perfumer Oliver Polge, this spicy fragrance is an instant olfactory detonation that is fiery and addictive. I get the sense that Night Vision EDP is geared towards single guys who don’t put a ton of thought into their scent but want compliments galore. That’s what Night Vision EDP feels designed to do and never misses a beat in the type of customer it is courting. The bottle and general aesthetic make it seem like a prop from the latest Call of Duty video game. Wear this fragrance and be a super solider armed with the latest weapons of mass seduction. The ladies won’t know what hit them as you come on with the subtlety of a hand grenade. On second thought, maybe they will, but you’ll still smell great even if Night Vision EDP may be hard to distinguish from other fragrances in its category. Anybody reading this post and the others below, steer well clear of this rubbish, save your money and buy something else. I hate One Million and this gave me a similar feel but smells more synthetic and heavy handed.

My description makes it sound extremely sweet but don´t get me wrong. It also has a strong dry woody accord. I just truly think people are not appreciating what a great fragrance this is. One of the best offerings in 2015 by a designer house without question. If Tom Ford put this in bottles, the love rating would be far greater than its likes or dislikes. Or probably not, as some might say he did this already...lol. This scent wowed me and the original didn't. The original is a boy. This Extreme Flanker is that boy as a man. I definitely see Night Vision as the preferred Nightclub frag for younger men looking to drop the panties all night long. More established men may prefer the sharpness that Eros brings to the game as even so the ambroxan tends to disappear in the base the bitter orange note keeps it refreshing til the end. I'm a big fan of the original Spicebomb and Spicebomb Extreme. Spicebomb Infrared just barely misses the mark for me... It is preferably a cold weather scent, however, it could be worn all year round in mild weather places.

Eau de Parfum

As for those complaining of weak projection/longevity, I think you may have become nose blind to it. About 1 h after spraying extreme on my wrist, it appeared as though it was getting really weak on my skin. Then I smelled the original SB, which I happened to have sprayed after a shower twice on my chest – I could not smell the original SB at all anymore! Normally, original SB lasts over ~5 hours with 2 chest sprays, which made me realize my nose was definitely becoming blind to both fragrances. For those curious, I just bought SB extreme recently, and it is manufactured in July 2023. Even so Eros has Candied Apple in the opening Night Vision has an even stronger gourmand sweet minty candy apple vibe with definitely a creamy pistachio nut undertone where Eros has more bakeshop vanilla within the sweetness. Both come through as being bold statement frags letting those around you know that you came to have a good time and look sexy and confident doing it. This particular fragrance has enough *lift* to be noticeable, but it's actually not what I'd call a "bomb", it's still polite and treads the line between interesting and enjoyable to the masses. Longevity is decent. In conclusion: The original Spicebomb is a lot better than the Extreme version when it comes to overall performance. The OG is unique for its rich and spicy scent. Spicebomb Extreme gets rid of that characteristic, turning it into a mediocre fragrance. If you like Givenchy - Gentleman EDP and Armani - Code (EDT), Paco Rabanne - One Million EDT (I've never tried any flankers), or want a far better made version of Paco Rabanne - Pure XS. Or are actually a fan of Dior Sauvage Elixir or Lattafa Asad (Lion) this is for you.

For me it is a pleasant, unisex and wintery perfume. Of course, I think it is better to try it before. Probably those of you who are not lovers of sweet or spicy scents will not like it. This olfactory masterpiece is a must-have addition to any respectable perfume collection, particularly as a permanent fixture for the winter months. Spicebomb Extreme possesses a remarkable longevity and projection, making it perfect for those special social occasions like dance parties, weddings, or nights out at the disco. It leaves an unforgettable signature that stands out in a crowd and offers a level of quality typically associated with niche fragrances but at a more accessible designer price point. While it may be on the expensive side, the quality of the juice and the fact that you only need a small amount justify its price tag.If you're looking for a strong, spicy, fall/winter fragrance that will turn heads and get you noticed, this is a safe blind buy. The scent is amazing, and so is the performance. I blind bought this and was very happy with it, I'm sure you will be to. Provided you like spicy fragrances, of course. Anyway, as for the smell itself, there is not too much to say. I think a slightly burnt gingerbread smell describes it perfectly. It has this great sweet, vanilla smell with some spice around the edges. Very pleasant, and quite masculine, although I am sure plenty of women would find this suitable as well. Regarding the notes… I don’t get the Tobacco… from the Red Fruits I get some tanginess and perhaps the sweetness… and from all the Peppers and Saffron I get a very nice spicy touch. I would happily wear this during the cooler months of fall, winter, and early spring. I think Spicebomb Extreme is both a day and night fragrance. I would NOT be inclined to wear in warmer weather at all, as it would be a bit heavy-handed and off-season smelling. This perfume is very reminiscent of a Mexican candy that comes out every year around Halloween called “Canelitas”, it is a hard candy made with the fakest and strongest of all cinnamon artificial flavors, plus some undetermined hot spice and a whole lot of sugar… and don’t get me wrong, as a kid I used to love “Canelitas”, and right now I kind of like this perfume… it’s just that it seems very synthetic and a really mediocre attempt to reinterpret other successful citrusy based fragrances, while, at the same time, trying to make it “unique” by adding a whole lot of spices and sweetness.

The opening is much milder and sweeter compared to the pungent and peppery opening of the original Spicebomb. Nothing particularly wrong with that, since it might be more appealing for some individuals, but the drydown is where things get very disappointing. Price value: 5/5. I believe the price I paid for this fragrance was great. Definitely well worth my money spent. I paid seventy dollars for 1.7 fluid ounces for this fragrance.Compared to original SB, which I also have, extreme is a little harsher in the opening, much sweeter, and more of a gourmand. I have to say, extreme lasts longer too. Spraying in the evening, you will definitely still notice in in the morning (while original SB would be barely noticeable). Thankfully, the worst part for me which is the sharp citrusy opening only lasts for a few minutes and then it blends with rest of the accords, allowing for the warm spices to come forward and take center stage. By no means this is a bad perfume, it is actually quite good, is just that it could have been much better. Longevity is great also. It last 9+ hours on my skin and really projects during the first 3-4 hours. After that it became less potent but never quite became a skin scent on me until about hour 6-7. It will however linger longer on clothes which is great for me as i like to spray the inside of my tshirts. Bought it when I gave in to the hype, together with Dior Sauvage EDT in a flurry of foolish naive enthusiasm. Trying to navigate this hobby as a clueless beginner, the first influencers and recommendations all pointed towards fragrances such as these. This is the fragrance I associate most with my early rookie mistakes into this hobby. I mistakenly oversprayed this at a work party while I had grown anosmic to it. Nobody said a word, but I did realize embarrassingly enough that it was quite the potent force to everyone else. Lesson learned the hard way. The opening is almost all vanilla, and is quite powerful. It is also sweet at this point. Projects quite strongly during the opening. I am not a huge fan of this vanilla-heavy opening, but it does fade after a bit.

Opening is spicy, sweet, and fruity. I can smell all the individual notes from the first spray, but the strongest off the top are the cinnamon, saffron, and red fruits. After about an hour after spraying the tobacco and vanilla-ish benzoin become more noticeable. It stayed that way through the rest of the dry down. I really don't know why this one gets sooooo much hype and ends up in a plethora of top ten lists constantly. I like it don't get me wrong, but that's it, like. I've had my bottle about 3 years or so, bought it before it shot up in price - and I've used about 5ml of it. I know all fragrances are subjective by nature, but when it starts getting colder and the nights get darker earlier, I reach for at least a dozen frags over this. As it settles, some of the notes blend further together, but all of the coniferous tones are smoothed out by the sweet resins, and the patchouli is obvious to my nose. It's a spice-chouli, but it also smells slightly like Mon Guerlain (don't take this the wrong way, it's still decidedly masculine), because there's a lavender undertone in here, and the "benzoin" smells more like vanilla to me (sometimes this happens in blends). I think the pairing is incredibly effective, and it might not be a popular opinion, but I quite enjoy this trend on perfumes lately. Lavender+vanilla (maybe courmarin) is AWESOMENESS.Longevity: Night Vision, as it tends to keep a full rounded profile until the drydown at least with my skin. This is freaking delicious. It opens with a very peppery, piney, aromatic, arid blast of warmth. I love it, it's a soft sandstorm of various elements. I can distinguish nutmeg clearly though (one of my favorite notes, I'm always on alert for it). I chose this fragrance after smelling countless colognes in my lifetime and never really being keen on anything, as most of the time they all sort of start smelling the same. This one was different- it almost has this cinnamon - vanilla undertone that really is unique, seductive, and rich. I also have to commend Viktor & Rolf on their product design- it’s a beautiful bottle. Fragrance Description: Spicebomb Cologne is an explosion of sensual, fiery spices that captivate for ultimate seduction. The intensely masculine scent opens with an explosive accord of pink peppercorn, elemi, bergamot, and grapefruit. The heart of the cologne is a blaze of warming spices, cinnamon, saffron, and paprika. Luxuriously smooth notes of leather, tobacco, and vetiver leave behind a robust presence not long to be forgotten. This warm, spicy winter scent pairs well with close encounters on chilly nights.
