Ms Penn was known for decades in Derby for owning her self named Aileen Penn children's clothes store in Green Lane. Inspired by the rich ceramics imported from Japan in the late seventeenth and early eighteenth century, Derby porcelain has been famous worldwide for the manufacture of their rich Imari wares since the late 18th Century. There have been many Royal Crown Derby Imari and Imari-inspired patterns since then and the designers are constantly creating adaptations of these patterns and showcasing them throughout the range of paperweights, tableware, accent plates and decorative homewares. The Imari Wares collection we have in store includes new and pre-owned paperweights, seasonal wares, a selection of tableware (including the beautiful Imari Accent plates), collectables and giftware.
