There's a new Bethesda sale on the Switch eShop and series like Elder Scrolls and Doom have seen some massive price cuts. In hindsight, Wolfenstein 3D seems like a glorified proof of concept (though a very ambitious one for its time), but consumer technology needed to catch up for the iD boys to realise their vision, and boy, did they blow it out of the water when they made DOOM.
