UV and bright lights can damage your eyes.The emitters are bright. The GemLight is microprocessor controlled and has important features for safety and convenience. The unit can be switched on and placed in the trap in daylight. The emitters come on only when it is dark. A flashing indicator light gives warning before darkness is about to switch on. Never look directly into the emitters. The UV emitter may not look very bright, as most of its radiation is outside the visible spectrum, but can still cause damage if viewed directly. Use of UV safety glasses is good practice. Everything delivered as promised in good time. Clear instructions , easy to apply. Just need to wait to see if it works now.
Some moths will escape from both Heath and Skinner trap designs, but Skinner Traps will attract a higher number of moths. It might be due to the stage of the moth life cycle where some larvae are still pupating. We are only at the start of the moth season and you may be seeing young adults and female moths but not the active adult males yet. Clothes Moth Traps only catch active male moths, not females or juveniles, so some customers wonder why they still see some moths flying / not trapped - this takes time for the breeding cycle to stop (4-6 weeks).
