About this deal

The little turrets on the Bushnell 3x come with turret caps. I can adjust the hybrid reticle to give me a co-witness with my red dot, if I feel so inclined. The grouping difference between the 9mm & 30SC were not even close. 9mm produce 1 ragged hole on multiple 5 yard targets and 1/2”-1” group at 10 yards. 30SC looked more “shotgun blast-like” All you need to do is simply mount the magnifier behind your red dot and adjust eye relief to suit your needs. Like any high quality scope, this system features fully coated optics, three power magnification and is built to provide long lasting, rugged service. Something that is not currently attached is they also have a super tall riser, a 193 riser, so if you did want to use it with something aftermarket, like this is an SKD tactical riser on the SIG Romeo 7 that does push it up to a 193, so if you do want to use it just out of the box with some super tall optics, you can definitely do that, which, again, I like, especially for the money, it is nice for it to be compatible with a lot aftermarket optics just right out of the box. Then there’s the fact that it works with any holographic or red dot sight which is a huge plus in my book. Durability & Turrets

Really what you’re gonna do with this optics is, while the optical quality of the 6x is decent and definitely fine, if you compound already kind of decent glass with bad glass in front of it, you’re not gonna have that much fun, so depending on what optic you’re using, a lower end optic like the SIG Romeo 7 where it does have a little bit more tint to it or certain Holosun optics where they have a lot a very aggressive blue notch filter, you might have a really bad time. The Bushnell 3x magnifier comes with its own ambidextrous flip mount. I thought it was very generous of Bushnell to include a mount. It’s one less thing I need to buy. That’s why most red dot magnifiers come with a 3x magnification range. That’s enough to allow you to mid-range targets, but it’s not going to transform your weapon into a long-range machine.

In the not-so-distant-past, shooters had to choose between a red dot sight and a magnified scope. While red dots are awesome optics for engaging fast-moving, close-range targets, they don’t offer much over iron sights when shooting at longer ranges. Bushnell made this optic to be tough. It is o-ring sealed and completely waterproof. Internal fogging won’t be a problem either, because this optic is nitrogen purged. Vortex equipped this magnifier with a spacer shim designed to allow the use of the instrument at several different heights. You have the option to choose between a 1/3 co-witness height (40mm) and an absolute co-witness height of 37mm. ProsThe 3X-C magnifier is, of course, a 3x magnifier with a 20mm objective lens that is fully compatible with night vision, which is a big deal. A lot of people that use Aimpoint products are also using NV, and night vision compatibility is unfortunately not super common with magnifiers. There are gonna be a lot of cons, but a few of pros as well, and so this will make sense for certain people in certain applications, especially depending on what red dot they want to use it with. My Review: EOTech is well known for their proprietary holographic optical systems and has developed one of the best optic magnifiers on the market today. Of course, these were built to be used with the EOTech Holographic sights but there are many other red dots that can be used in co-witness with the G33. The first number, the 4, indicates that the magnifier will magnify your sight picture of up to 4x it’s non-magnified appearance, meaning that what you see through the Juliet4 will be 4x closer and larger than it is using the jelly bags in your head. Your red dot should be a 1X, meaning there is no magnification present. Second, you need to ensure that there are enough rails left on your weapon to mount your magnifier. This is rarely a problem with rifles, but if you’re looking to add a magnifier to a smaller pistol, it might be an issue.

It’s really gonna come down to how you’re running the gun, in what circumstances you want it to do a little bit better in because, again, another downside of a 6x magnifier is it kind of almost loses performance inside of 100 yards because sometimes at 100 yards, depending on the target size and if there’s stuff in between you and the target and you wanna make sure you are as precise as possible, you do still wanna have a magnifier, but with a 6x magnifier, with a decent field of view, and it does have a decent field of view, but it still can be almost a little bit too much magnification inside those closer ranges where you might want 3x, but 6x might be a little bit overkill. I think all of the red dot magnifiers I’ll ever recommend are constructed with either an aluminum or steel casing. The outside of the magnifier must be strong and resist impact from your rifle falling to the ground or whatever else crazy stuff happens.

Vortex Micro 6X Red Dot Sight Magnifier Orderable Models

Optically, you’re getting a fully multi-coated 3x26mm configuration with a 6061-T6 anodized aluminum body. The housing is also rubberized for added protection. These are quite rugged, although not fully waterproof, and do have some pretty surprisingly clear optics for the price. Featuring a design with a versatile length for eye relief and a 38-foot field of view at 100 yards, The VMX-3T is sleek, extremely simple and very functional. Offering a lightweight design at a mere 1.9 ounces, this optic won’t weigh your rifle down. The VMX is fully waterproof and sealed with O-rings to prevent water and other debris from entering the optic . We’ve gathered some of the best rated red dot magnifiers into one handy list. Each of the models on our list are sturdy, reliable, top-notch options for modern shooters. Green dots, though…oh my. I’m a HUGE fan of green dots. But they can be a little strange with magnifiers. First off, every single one I’ve tried tear-dropped the dot a little. I have no idea why. Holosun HM3X and Holosun 510c GR The magnifier is simple to attach and remove, and the adjustable flip mount ensures the device is suitable for left, as well as right-handed users. The recessed turrets also prevent any accidental adjustments.

Most of these coatings end up being named crazy things because a lot of them are developed by the manufacturer of the magnifier itself, meaning they’re proprietary and comparing them through the written word is incredibly difficult. Unfortunately, there are no standards for naming coatings. Something named Ultra HD glass coating may not perform the same as High Fidelity coating even though both of them have the same goal of raising the quality of the sight picture. Nitrogen Gas Purged Gas purged, and O-ring sealed for fog proof and waterproof performance in all conditions If you’re looking for a fixed magnifier for your red dot or holographic sight then this one can’t be beaten for the price. Lenses on the VMX-3T are fully coated to prevent scratching, increase light transmission, and reduce glare. The result is near perfect image quality in low light, bright sunshine, and everything in between. This one feature makes the VMX-3T magnifier perfectly suited for both range shooting and field use. However, when you put it behind other red dots that do not have the same level of glass quality, let’s say, or they have a more aggressive blue or green tint, that 6x magnification makes that problem six times worse.https://www.bereli.com/steyr-arms-m9-a2-9mm-semi-automatic-pistol-4-barrel-polymer-frame-two-17rd-mag/... It’s no wonder there are more than 2 million hunters, sports shooting enthusiasts, and military personnel who use Aimpoint magnifiers worldwide! This one is a solid choice indeed. Features I believe in the “buy once cry once” mantra. It’s important to buy a product that delivers the quality you need, when you need it, with durability that won’t have you spending extra for repairs or replacements. On top of that, the mount design is somewhat standard two-bolt mount design, so it is compatible with certain aftermarket magnifiers, the Eotech magnifiers, the Unity Fast’s, I believe as well, though, again, I have not tried those personally, but, again, that is just what I’ve heard that they are compatible to certain aftermarket mounts if you do want to swap them out.
