I think that’s pretty much it. I would never consider using the unit without the additional mouthpiece. You might just burn your lips off trying to use the unit without it. Called the company and they told me I was wrong and the unit will charge…I am now a liar now? I am 68 years old and I totally understand batteries and jet aircraft. That was a huge insult from the company.

The app has also caused issues amongst the vaping community, especially with Apple pulling out all vape applications in their app store as of 2019. At the moment, the DaVinci app is only available on Android devices.

Versatile vaping

So, at any time during a session what you can do is hold down the power button and while you hold it down the vape will enter boost mode and you’ll notice that the up arrows on the display and the temperatures gonna start increasing, and is gonna keep increasing until you let go of the button. I am pretty livid as it seems like they don’t even care to ask questions about the issue and just seem like it is ok to blow it off as it is a “non-issue”. I can absolutely see this as a lawsuit waiting to happen due to how hot the unit thing gets. Nowhere in the manual or related media does it state that “our product gets very very hot”. I am looking for a resolution here and want to know how I can make this happen. If what I have been reading is true, I have a defective unit, and there are non-defective units out there. The IQ has smart features executed flawlessly, notably the smart-path temperature controls that can automatically increase the temperature during your session. So, each smart path can be customized by you and you basically have this 10-minute window, because its gonna shutoff in 10 mins for heat reasons and safety reasons and whatever. Just like the rest of the IQ line, the DaVinci IQC features a “flavor chamber,” which cools down the vapor, and can double as a small storage container. The flavor chamber is also made out of zirconia and holds just enough herb for a session. On the former devices, the lid that sealed the flavor chamber was also made of zirconia- but on the IQC, it’s been replaced with the same hi-temp silicone that’s present throughout the device. Battery Now I think, unless I’m forgetting something which I probably am, the last noteworthy feature to talk about is the boost mode. Well, battery life. For sure. I mentioned the battery issue earlier, which could be solved using an external battery charger and a few extra batteries. The IQ2 still uses a Micro USB which is slow and not efficient. The new Carbon version has USB-C and I hope the IQ2 will be upgraded as well in the future. Bottom LineAnd then the vapor path is ceramic zirconia, and that is the material that the mouthpieces are made of too.
