When I reviewed the Ecovacs Deebot X1 Omni, I thought it was the best robot vacuum cleaner for mopping, but it had one flaw: it couldn’t lift its mopping pads to traverse carpet. All in all, it’s a great choice if you don’t need to clean more than 500 square feet and have somewhere to hide the unsightly station. You also shouldn’t mind emptying and refilling large water tanks quite often, as the robot is one of the thirstiest ones we’ve tested.

This can all be skipped with Housekeeper mode, which automatically learns how often the cleaner needs to clean your house and where it needs to focus. I find it easier to control the robot when I want it to go out, personally.
